I thought I was the only one who was unable to pee. They kept doing ultrasounds telling me my bladder was full, but I had no urge to urinate. They almost had to cath me too. I'm so glad they didn't though. -

I've been taking a PPI, so I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is actually hunger pains or acid. I get this feeling when I go to bed at night and when I wake up in the morning to get the kids ready for school. I remember them as being hunger pains, but I thought they removed the hunger hormone during surgery. My surgery was 8/10, I'm 6 weeks post op today. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm on omeprazole for 2 months minimum.

Thank you. My Surgeon prescribed 20mg omeprazole once a day.. I mentioned something about maybe still too much acid but he didn't seem to think the dosage should be increased. I drank some water when I got up this morning and it helped a little. I still have a hard time getting all my water and protein in.

Having Trouble Being Positive
nakole73 replied to TinyLittleFractures's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was in the hospital from a Wednesday to that Friday. My Surgeon saw me in the hospital once after Surgery and called me once at the hospital. I LOVE my Surgeon. I'm sorry for your bad experience, hopefully you can either find a new surgeon or get better care from your current surgeon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Does the sleeve effect mood stabilizers?
nakole73 replied to busybeebug's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 weeks post op and was taking Wellbutrin for depression. I quit taking it though because all meds have to be crushed and I could not stomach crushed pills. I have an appt on Friday to see about maybe a pill that has capsules I could open up and put in applesauce or something. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I was sleeved August 10 and had my period at that time. They may give you some mesh underwear to wear with a pad during surgery. And if they give you heparin injections you may bleed a little more than normal.
