1. So I let my SO look at some of the threads on here and he came across one talking about what are people eating post op.. he then made a good point to me and said "you ate this way before your surgery"...he wasnt trying to put me down because he is my biggest supporter but now I'm wondering what if I dont lose weight. I was sleeved on May 23rd and before surgery I usually ate 1000-1200 calories per day (1400 when we went out) I also exercised 5-6 days per week. Was anyone else like me who lived a very healthy lifestyle, had all the tests and still couldnt lose weight? What is your success like post op?

You look awesome!
3. Is this normal? I'm 4 days post op and noticed some yellow skin below one of the incision sites.
4. I slept on my belly last night ! My first NSV! Was sleeved on May 23rd so only 4 days post op.

Going crazy

I'm concerned for basically the opposite...I drink protein shakes 3x a day 2oz each time and I feel so restricted when drinking them that it takes me 1-2 hours to drink 2 oz. I'm hoping I will feel less restricted eventually.
6. My doctor told me a month but I feel like I am progressing faster than i thought i would..dont really have any pain in my stomach and just slept the entire night on it without any pain getting up or down. I did about an hour of walking yesterday. I'm only 4 days post op so I'm not suggesting working out now but was anyone cleared at their 2 week appt? Also I am not supppsed to lift over 10lbs, would I be okay with a 5 lb weight? Exercise makes me feel happy.
7. Thanks guys ill ask tomorrow since the office is closed today...its not that important that I have to contact the on call doctor. I already walk about an hour per day (papers say to do at least a half an hour)...I may try later when my fiance gets home from work with him next to me in case he gets too much I can just drop the leash. I feel bad because we live in a condo and I'm used to taking him on jogs and to the dog park daily and my fiance has become somewhat of a single father lol
8. Out of the recliner and into the bed, have always been a side and stomach sleeper but sides hurt from gas pain and stomach does not. Is it safe to sleep this way?
9. My dr said a good dr doesn't need the liver shrunk he just told us we couldn't gain weight before surgery...full of himself much?
10. If you go out with a SO or close friend or family member who knows and others who dont know then you can share a plate with the person you know. Also people are going to notice you are losing weight and if you choose not to tell them about the sleeve, you can tell them you are dieting and exercising. The smaller portions would be part of your diet. I am only 4 days post op but my fiance and I have already looked at the menus of our fav places and what I can and cannot eat once I am okayed for solid foods, for example since ive heard a lot of people have a hard time with carbs, I can go to our fav burger place and order it atop greens instead and probably eat only 1/4 of the burger and bring the rest home.

Water?

I have no problem drinking plain water so I guess it depends on the person. All the flavored water I have tried tastes way too sweet for me. ..everything is sweeter now...I am told this is normal and will pass.
12. Guess I just had a NSV slept in my bed for close to 8 hours and no pain getting up out of bed...not bad for 4 days post op...now when can I start working out again?! Haha my dr says a month but hopefully maybe I can be cleared sooner.

22 just sleeved

I'm 23 and had surgery on the 23rd.. ive read age is a factor but so are a lot of other factors such as genetics, how fast/slow you lose, if you stick to the diet and exercise, how long you were overweight, etc.. Ive also heard of plenty of people who didn't need plastics after, some people are very impatient and do not let their body adjust (your skin needs an extra year or two to bounce back). Since I am young I would want to have kids before getting a tummy tuck but who knows I may change my mind

This May Be Inappropriate, Forgive Me :)

I know I am late but I am guessing since there will be less cushion for the pushin then everything will be deeper...I am worried about this because currently my fiance and I are trying positions so it doesnt feel so deep (he has a big johnson and I was told by my gyno I have a short who-ha lol)
15. I posted a topic calling for may pre op pics so we could follow along..no one responded so now I look pathetic with my pics up there...how do you delete a post you made?
16. Thanks everyone! I am now on day 3 post op and feeling a LOT better than yesterday. I already have a NSV: I slept on the couch instead of the recliner! Tonight I will try sleeping in our bed. I did take pain meds since coming home but for me it is to curb the gas pains and help me sleep.
