I talked to my lapband nurse and she thinks that I did too much too soon with my workout. I was pretty rigorous with my heart rate between 150 - 167. She said to relax and if its better by tomorrow then we know that's what it was but to go to the er if I start to struggle with breathing. My only concern Is that I did have leg pain after surgery and I thought they may have bruised me when I was moved to my recovery bed. But now I'm worried it was clots.

I stopped having gas pains two weeks ago. Yesterday morning I started having chest pain on the left side. It hurts when I breath deep. I know they say to walk ... well I worked my butt off at the gym lastnight. No pain during the work out but once I got home it was back. And today I feel like someone is squeezing my heart. I take gas x too but man I feel like I can't function. Is it just gas or something more? I left a vm with the nurse and hope to hear back soon.

I'm a newbie so maybe I shouldnt comment but maybe start logging your food with my fitness pal. I didn't realize how many calories I was taking in until I logged it. A workout friend can help u get back to the gym or just out moving. Its easier for me to go when I have a buddy. . . Good luck!

Wow u look good. I definitely see a difference. I was banded the 28th and I feel no restrictions. I'm just trying to maintain til my first fill may 8th!

Banded 3-28-13...so far I've lost 16 lbs and 6 inches! I'm pretty stoked about what I've lost so far. Not feeling any restrictions so I'm really thinking before I eat and using that will power as much as possible. Will get a fill May 8th.

Good to know. My Dr says no breads but I've heard that some people can have them. I figured a wrap would be better than a sandwich for that reason. Thanks for the feedback

I know breads can be off limits for most. Does the same go for tortillas?
-
I had the same feeling. It went away after 3 or 4 days.
-
That seems early for a fill. I was banded 3-28 and my fill appointment is May 8th. Every doctor is different but maybe that's why you had more pain.
-
I had my 2 wk appointment today. So far I've lost 16 lbs. Ill go back in may and they will decide if I need a fill or not. Pretty happy with my weight loss so far

Makes sense now why they didn't put any fluids in mine. Sorry to hear about the bad experiences I hope u both feel better soon!

I've been really open with my coworkers. Some people try to keep it a secret but why lie when they asked how you lost weight? I have a couple of Co workers who have done it already so that helps too. Good luck on your first day back to work. Sounds like u are doing a great job so far!

I was banded on the 28th too. I've been on Clear Liquids but today and tomorrow are full liquids then I can move to mooshie foods. This morning was my first Protein Shake so hopefully I don't have any problems with it.

I propped up pillows tall on bed and just leaned up against them on my side on the 2 days I was super sick. I couldnt lay on my right side at all! But I laid on left side an proppe pillow under stomach. It was still uncomfortable for a few minutes until I relaxed and stopped freaking out. They gave me pills for pain and later an rx for zofran pills! They were hard to swallow!
My throat was so sore on days 2-6 from tube! It was raw! I hope you arent getting strep! I would call your band doc and tell them you think you have it- he/she should take care of thise things because they know what they want you to have.
Hope you feel better soon!

My Dr isn't in til tomorrow. I went to urgent care and I do have strep I'm so miserable I just want to cry.

So my incision pain is getting better. But it made me notice another problem ... I think I have strep I'm struggling to stay positive with all this pain. Its like razors cutting my throat when I swallow. All I want to do is sleep. Probably going to urgent care to find out what it really is. What an Easter

Hope you soon get some relief astott626' date=' , got my band on Tues(3/26) and have been pretty lucky with the gas pains. Have a pain today in the middle of my back which has been the worst of it. Struggling with the blues for some reason. Thinking its a combination of this miserable winter that will not end and the after effects of the anesthesia. Anxious to get to a real scale and see if I have any more off.Was down 19 from the preop diet. Best of luck!![/quote']Awesome job on the pre op loss! I think spring will help with having the blues I get that way too especially right now while I'm not able to get around much. I wish u the best of luck also! Thanks

So yesterday I felt bruising on my left calf. My mom and I wonder if its from being moved after the procedure or something more serious. Anyone else experience this?

I was banded last week and I slept with pillows from day one. I tucked one under my belly and between my legs. I felt more uncomfortable on my back. By the third day I was able to do it on my left side too. Now the getting out of bed was another story' date=' LOL!!Try several positions and I hope one works for a good nights sleep for you!![/quote']
Just getting onto my side is painful. I feel the burning at my left incision so I wimp out and stay on my back. Lol maybe ill try again tonight

I put a pillow kinda tuck under my stomach when I tried to sleep on my side' date=' it keeps the weight frm pulling your stomach down and feeling super uncomfty.. Day 5 I wa able to do that and by 7 I barely had to use the pillow.. Hope I helped! (:[/quote']
Yes thank u.

Thank u. sleep is also difficult I tried laying on my side like usual but it was too painful. But I can't sleep on my back too long cuz my shoulders and back hurt. How did everyone deal with this?

I'm feeling ok now. I was able to keep myself from throwing up but the gas pain is bad. 2nd attempt at walking was much better

I agree. I rarely eat out and I log my food on mfp. If u cook at home how hard is it to scan each item or look up veggies? I like it because I know what I'm putting into my body. Some things have more calories than you think so I log it to be sure.
