    Unjury?

My Nut suggested that I try it in Jello (sugar free of course) or in pudding. When putting it in jello, dissolve it in the cold water before mixing it with the heated jello.
  3. Hi everyone! I am also hoping for a July date. However, I will not know until after my July 1 appointment which is the 4th and last required appointment. Due to my work schedule, we are planning to get all of my tests completed in late June and then submit and wait on insurance. We have discussed trying to do my surgery by July 19. I am from Mississippi.

    New and so nervous

Kat---I am a mother of three with the oldest 6 years old. I will begin my first principal job this summer. I have been the asst. principal for quite a few years. I understand the dance thing. I coached cheerleaders for 15 years. Hoping your summer works out the way you need it to.
  6. Praying blessings and speedy recovery for you! Congrats on the weight loss thus far.

    New and so nervous

I too am new. I am still meeting insurance requirements of 4 visits with weight loss management with my surgeon's office, meeting with a nutritionist, having a psych eval., and all the pre-surgery tests. Planning to get psych eval in May, complete all tests in June. My final visit with weight loss will be first of July. 2nd visit with surgeon should be same day. Hoping to get approval and have surgery by July 19. Surgeon's office says that it is doable. We shall see. If I don't have it in July, I will not be able to have the surgery until September due to work requirements.

    Gastric Sleeve Approval

Welcome to the community. I'm hoping to have my surgery in July. Still have a few hoops to jump through to satisfy the insurance company.
  10. Hi everyone! I have been reading posts for about a month or so. My insurance requires that I meet for four consecutive months with my surgeon for weight loss. I just had my first month meeting on 4/3/13. We discussed trying to have my last meeting on July 1 and trying to get my surgery in before the 24th of July due to my work schedule. I am a K-8 school principal and have to return to work on the 24th. Any suggestions on things that some of you may have started prior to surgery to help you prepare for a successful experience, or steps you wish you had taken before hand?

    Just getting started

Thanks for the advice! I have already found that I just have to do liquids the day before. I discussed the Protein shakes with the nut this past week. Due to a diet that my mom put me on around the age of 12, I have not been able to drink any type of shake since without gagging. The nut suggested the unjury tasteless powder to add to Jello or fruity drink as an alternative. Carbonated drinks have always been my weakness. Therefore, I am trying to remove those from my diet now. How is your weight loss journey thus far?
