  1. The pain just started and I didnt have it the first 2 weeks after surgery. You think there is still some gas in there from the surgery and the other wierd thing is, is that my sholder only hurts at night. Maybe it doesnt bother me in the day because I am up and on my feet, maybe its just gas. Not sure...
  2. Hi Everyone, I had surgery on April 4th and Im still not feeling very well. Loving the weight loss, getting tired of feeling like crap though. Wondering when I will start feeling better? I start out in the morning feeling good, by night Im a mess. My left shoulder hurts (this just started this week and its only at night) I feel like I have a lump in my throat, it sometimes hurts to swallow, kinda feel like Im getting a cold. Does a cold or sore throat effect the lapband? I see the doctor next week, just wondering what everyones experience is with this?

    What helps with fill swelling

Hi Kara, I was banded last Thursday and I am feeling almost the same way as you, I was looking through posts wondering if people felt the same way or if maybe my band area is just swollen. I feel like something is stuck like you or liquids are just not going down, also when I breath in deep I feel a pain (I didnt have that till today) swallowing I feel a little dis-comfort down my esph. I felt good yesterday and now today its different, I would think each day things would be feeling better.. not the other way around. Im going to call Dr. tommorow and see what he thinks I should do.
  4. I have been having problem with gallbladder for a long time now (2 years) its un-comfortable but not life threatening. I know allot of people have gotten this surgery w/ lapband done and also my surgeon is experienced doing it, it make sense to do it together.. he will already be in there, why not just spend a few minutes more and take care of the gallbladder. I read there is bigger risk of infection. I talked to my surgeon and ofcourse he confimed all the things I read as a risk factor. I just wonder if anyone out there has had this? and what they recommend. Im already scared, and now Im getting closer to surgery and having all these 2nd thoughts. Im not a gambler, this is soo hard for me.
  5. Mine is April 4th! Excited about loosing weight, terffied of surgery. Only 1 week until I start pre-op diet, yay!
  6. I have been approved for surgery and its scheduled for April 4th! Yah! It is something I really want, but Im terrified of the surgery (death in particular). I read about all these complication and all the people who end up having it removed and now Im having 2nd thoughts. Im not afraid of pain, just the thought of not being here for my 3 babies. The doctor is going to remove my gallbladder at the same time, I also read that this may not be safe? anyone else have this done at same time? This is building more anxiety.
