  1. I think I'm having my first post surgery emergency. I'm not sure if I'm over reacting perhaps u hv experienced it. I have extreme flatulence preceded by a bloated feeling almost as if someone is injecting air into my tummy below the naval. Then while I try to release the gas I hv severe pain all over below the naval n it feels like and I can hear a liquid like sound on the left side of my lower tummy. I hv been ignoring the funny sounds my tummy makes but today this is beyond extreme. Should I b going to the emergency room is something leaking?

  2. Sorry about your postponement of the surgery. Prayers your way for a good healthy outcome. You can always come and chat. Make sure you give us an update on your health and I hope and pray you can continue your wls journey soon. Good luck & God bless.

    Surgery date: May 14' date=' 2013[/quote']

Thanks Debbie really appreciate I will be right here and will definitely not give up. Thank you so much for the kind words. Will be cheering for you guys.

  3. Hi guys just wanted to post update. I have been taken off the operation list for Monday 6 May my bloods were apparently not encouraging and surgeon wants me to resolve the elevated liver enzymes before the roux en y. Not quite sure what to make of this second postponement. I'm praying that my liver is ok and bloods improve. I suppose being cautious is prudent. I thought the gall bladder was the problem but there seems to be a concern that in case it's not i may not be healthy enough to proceed with the wls. I wish everyone the best if I'm cleared for surgery I think I'll post operation instead of raising my hopes up. But I'll continue learning from all of you and trying to loose on the Protein diet. All the best to upcoming surgeries.

  5. I'm having my gall bladder out and my hernia repaired. A 3 for 1 deal.

I'm supposed to do the same on Monday I have been trying to get hold of my doctor to find out the impact on the recovery n how long everything will take. My lover enzymes are very high so I have been worried about the supposed viral infection that may. Be causing it also I have been wondering of weight loss will be fast with a three on one

  6. Good luck to everyone for this week. I could not be ok for my operation. Dr will try squeeze in for this month still if my tests and all are ok. Was in hospital all week the flu or whatever it was had affected my lungs badly. Dr suspects viral infection from my last travel. So no op before and three months after op. provisional new date is now 6 may. Well in keeping positive waiting for my biopsy results too. Take care everyone

  7. Hi guys my operation has been shifted to the 15th April now due to an upper respiratory infection. It's another week of anxiety and excitement. At least I don't have to wait a month. The waiting can be so terrible sometimes but it also gives me time to get other stuff done so long .

  8. Hi all I partly regret having my gastric bypass op for two reasons 1 for my surgeon too make my stomach smaller than he legally should of done for my height he told me what he did after he did my op. the second is. That the NHS in the uk Have refused me twice by writing and 6 times verbally too have Tummy Tuck and too have my excess skin from my arms and legs too. I feel totally betrayed and let down by a medical service I should be be able too trust and rely on and clearly we cannot sadly its left me in greater pain than I did before my rny op with weight of the excess skin in front of me and weight everywhere else causing light sores now. I also only sleep 4 hours sleep if lucky if not that sometimes' date=' due too excess skin. I also have a severe form no feeling of hunger which most RNY patients suffer from at somepoint but sadly I have a severe form of it. I appeared on a major bbc documentary in the uk highlight obesity funding crisis regarding NHS 5 years ago I was phoned up by this bbc production team and I appeared on the show after appearing in my local paper as a few others did with a similar plight I did appear along side a gastric bypass grp with along side my bariatric surgeon who highlighted the probs we were facing at the time. Then I was inited along too the bariatric support grp and was made welcome at first then about month later the big boss of bariatric grp came from London and attracted the grp leaders for not getting her consent and permission but she did get help from some medication company too pay for weekend training meetings and for staying in hotels etc but she then said she got phoned by magazines ad papers whom wanted too help us but she cruelly declined too pass our details onto us too possibly help us then from that moment I never went back as I felt I was taken advantaged of by the RNY grp too more funding I think and for for that so called boss deny us help was some flaming low life in my opinion. My advice to other uk RNY patients going under NHS too have weightloss ops I would check and check again if your local NHS will do the reconstructive surgery or not if is the case if so I wld if you can get a loan and go private as I feel so let down sad and betrayed by a so called health service many patients should be able too trust and sadly we clearly cannot sadly I am now in the process of taking legal action agaist NHS for neglect of care and for the unless art suffering of pain and cruel refusal for surgery I need shame on David Cameron for not making me suffer making others suffer like myself suffer is cruel and inhumane my fear with so many legal cases against the NHS going on I can see NHS oing under and I hope it does as it is a poor substandard service and its a real lottery where u live and what medical service du can or can't get.

Daniel sorry for this experience but remember this was for u . Don't ever let that group leader dictate your joy and progress this is about you. Forgive your surgeon move on focus on the loosing. God will provide for the skin removal in due season. When you are calm and happy the universe brings all you need to you. You are alive be thankful. Wish you all the best.
