❤My Revision Story❤
Thanks for sharing this as I too have gastritis and the hernia. I'm having the revision because I'm not losing any more weight, I'm slowly gaining. I initially lost 99lbs. with my band, and kept the weight off a good two and a half years. My arthritis started acting up, was put on meds, and the rest is history.

Lap band revision to VSG
Congratulations! I will be going through the same process on October 21st. Good luck tomorrow![emoji846]

Confirmed surgery date!
My revision surgery is on the 21st as well. I'm so excited although I'm a bit concerned. I only have to do my pre-OP diet 4 days before surgery. I'm actually wondering if it's because I have a lower BMI....hmmmm[emoji848]

Thought I was red, but was I really green?
Yes, they can put .1cc in your band, and yes, I have encountered the same issues. Good luck and continued success.

Reaching Your Goal
No, I do not vomit. I actually reached my goal and I have now gained 18 pounds back. I was really small and my family and friends could hardly recognize me. LOL I guess I was just too skinny for them. I'm back at 150 pounds which was my original goal weight. I'm six years out and still get adjusted from time to time. I'm down to 6.5 ccs in my band I think. I'm wearing a size 10 now. I'm still drinking protein shakes and what I eat fluctuates from day to day. Some days I can eat all day and other days, I barely eat. As long as I'm still healthy is all that matters. Be blessed all.

Caffeine?
I never did stop drinking coffee either. Still have my two cups every day.

Would you have WLS again? What kind?
Sorry to hear that. There's no way it could be done under fluro?
-
Would you have WLS again? What kind?
Most definitely I would have wls again. I can't say that I would have done it sooner because I attempted to but my insurance at the time didn't cover it back in 2005. I wanted the band then and fortunately for me I was able to get it. I'm living a banded life I hope until my death; however, if in my future my band would stop working for me, I would become a sleever.

Starving on post op day 4!
Unfortunately there is no help. We all have endured what you're going through right now. Please don't give up and keep following your doctor's orders. It will be so worth it in the end. Congrats to banded life.

What is your TRUE weight loss goal?
My goal of 150 is what I was in high school and I wanted with all my heart to get back to that. Of course I wanted to be healthy for all the reasons you have mentioned but because I suffer from osteoarthritis so bad I hoped that the extra pounds lost would help and surprisingly it has. While I do still experience pain all over I haven't been on prescribed medications since way before my surgery over 4 years ago. My doctor's goal for me; however, was 134 and I thought he was crazy because I didn't see that obtainable for me and if you see my ticker I'll be darn if I didn't reach his goal and surpassed it by two pounds. I couldn't believe it. I am finally what is considered a normal bmi and after all these years I'm in between a size 6 and 8. I just wanted to get back in my size twelve like in high school. I NEVER IMAGINED BEING IN A SINGLE DIGIT. It truly blows my mind. I totally hear you in regards to seeing how others view themselves after reaching their goal. Being healthy doesn't mean being super skinny either. I still consider myself a big girl even though my clothing size may say otherwise. Great post.

A dream come true
That is so wonderful. God is good. I pray you have a safe and wonderful trip. Make sure you pack warm clothing and have a poncho or umbrella. I sent my daughter there a few summers ago and she was totally not prepared for the cold weather in July. Leaving the hot summer here in Houston she was not prepared for that climate change. Congratulations to you.

Peanut Butter in my protein shake?, please advise asap!
Peanut Butter is considered a solid protein and should not be included in your diet at this early stage. Only clear liquids unless you were told different by your doctor.

"I don't know why you need surgery, you're not that big."
@ Miss Mac, that's a good one. LOL love the response.

I had no idea this forum was here
Neither did I until this morning. I was tired of reading the same old thing in the Lapband forum and decided to see what was happening in the general weight loss forum and to my surprise, we have VIP up in here up in here. LOL
