  1. I had the same problem, So I did start eating a little earlier than I was suppose to with really soft food. I am by no way shape or form telling you it is right, just letting you know you should try to stick as close to what drs orders are as possible. Make sure you eat your protiens and lots of water to help abate the hunger. Good luck and don't give up!!! You can do this.
  2. Don't lose focus on the prize at the end of all the work. Your scale can be your worst enemy. Keep doing what you are doing and you will start to see subtle changes in your body. Good Luck and Stay Posistive!!
  3. Thanks I needed to hear that. I get my first fill tomarrow and I have been kinda nervous. I can handle the pain and needles don't scare me it is just the not knowing what to expect. Your post is most appreciated it helped!!
  4. I was feeling the same until yesterday when I went for my post op check up. Just eat the protein you are suppose to eat and drink plenty of water, and keep exercising. Try not to weigh everyday.( that can be discouraging) Don't give up!!! we all get in a slump once in awhile.
  5. Well today I go for my first post op check up. I have been on the same weight for a while now kind of discouraging. But it will get better I know it will...
  6. Keep up the good work
  7. It will get better I don't know how old your children are but I had my surgery the Friday mine went on spring break and then I was off all week with them. That is what we are here for to listen even if it is not about your band. Take a deep breath enjoy your broth and know that at the end of it all you will be happy and content with the way you look and feel because you are doing this for you.

  10. I feel real stupid I keep reading all this talk about port pain and being able to feel it through your skin. Heck I have no idea where mine is I have 5 incisions one big one and 4 little ones...did I miss something or did I just not pay attention in class?
  11. Well today is my one week anniversary and I can now have thicker liquids and I am so happy tired of the thin stuff. But happy all the same.
  12. Glad to see most of us are clearing out...it helps so much to be able to talk about these things with people that understand our pain. So glad I found this site.
  13. I know your pain I was miserable and could not even go pee, without the pain from the other. ask your Dr about Miralax or milk of magnesia. and good luck
  14. Thanks That is what I needed to hear that what I am experiencing is either normal or mind over matter.

  18. Well I am 5 days post op and my hunger is the kind that starts in the stomach and then goes to the back and it hurts. In taking nothing but fluids. I don't know how I can have the full feeling and still feel hunger pangs. Dealt with the constipation and that was miserable OMG I would not wish that on my worst enemy. But other than that I feel everything else is mind over matter. I did not experience the nausea or the gas so I feel blessed and I have been on several outings with my kids since, so all is good. Good Luck everyone!!!
  19. Laying back has not been the problem for me it is the leaning forward. I cannot imagine a shampoo not being relaxing it may do you some good. And you will feel more confident too to go along with the band that is going to help you to loose the weight that you want. Good luck was banded on 3/8/13.
  20. I keep getting the hunger pain that radiates to my back which is painful, not to mention constipation. My pains from my incisions are subsiding making it easier to get up from sofa. have been walking did not have much gas or nausea. I hope you feel better soon.
  21. I am so miserable right now. I am waiting on the Dr to call back to tell me it is ok to take a stool softener.
  22. My dr actually placed a little patch behind my left ear to help with nausea. I guess that is why I have not had any.I hope you feel better soon.
  23. I was banded Friday and I have not had any nausea just tired and feeling full
  24. Was banded yesterday feeling ok, A little soreness but I think that is because of the hernia. I also have noticed a cough, that makes my stomach hurt. I have been good as far as liquid food goes. Has anyone experienced hunger pangs the day after getting banded. beacause my stomach keeps growling but I have a full feeling.
