  1. Truer words were never spoken!
  2. Yup I've got it terrible! The batwinga on my arms are the worst! My insurance won't cover cosmetic surgery so I'd have to fly to Mexico to have it done but that could take me a few years to save up. At my age however batwinga come with the territory lol
  3. congratulations on your son's success! That is awesome! He's got a great dad as a teacher!
  4. i drink 3 cups of regular coffee daily. Two in the morning and one at night. Coffee at night is like a dessert for me. I told my doctor from the get go that I was concerned about coffee. He said it was fine post op if I could tolerate it. Well, caffeine has never affected my body chemistry so I'm good with it. It does not keep me up at night. Wishing you the best!
  5. i went to Dr Ernest Rehnke in St Pete. Love him! My insurance would not cover Dr Fusco in Brevard and some Orlando doctors but covered me at St Petersburg Wierd but true. I'm glad I got to use Dr Rehnke he is so supportive . :-).

  11. it happened to me and my surgeon did a day surgery to flip it back and suture it into place. It was a quick fix and no more problems for over a year now.
  12. Please be advised that the cruise to lose has been postponed until 2015. Thank you for the support but I have not had anyone who knew about this cruise in 2012 call in with a deposit so I have tabled it until 2015 and will have more detailed information. Thanks!
  13. I apologize I really thought I had sent all the information. It was on the Carnival Liberty but now I'm tabling it until 2015 and I promise it will be a very detailed with information the next time. If you would PM me with your e-mail addresses I will keep you on a list for the 2015 cruise and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me. I'd be more than happy to give you my phone number and e-mail address. Thanks for your response.
  14. Please be advised that starting Jun 4th we will temporarily meet at Sunrise Bread Company (upstairs) 315 South Hopkins Ave Titusville, FL 32780 9:15 AM Please call me at 321-480-9881 to RSVP so I can make sure I have enough chairs. Hopefully in September we will have the support group at the Titusville Library or another "non food" related venue. But for now so that we don't delay support we will have it at The Sunrise Bread Company upstairs (there is no elevator if that is a problem we could meet at ground level but it is not as private)
  15. Hi Liz,I will get something going for 2015. Don't fret about that but I do believe someone was complaining that it sounded like an advertisement and complained to Alex. That's OK because if I have to pay and sponsor it on this side I will. People get testy. This cruise to lose was originally on the original lapband sight then it got changed to the bariatric pal site so it became open to all WLS people which I think is good. It does not matter what type of WLS you've had you still have to learn to face all situations in a social atmosphere. You can have fun and learn to eat in a special setting like a cruise and meet other people in a similar situation. So, I will still have a hot yoga instructor and a personal trainer onboard for all levels including people with disabilities. I'm also in consultation for special dietary needs onboard including special diets and allergen diets. I'm getting very excited with the people I have consulted and they're all certified in their field. So hang in there. It may have to do with price too but the value is there for what people will be getting. A fun and healthy lifestyle vacation. Please keep in touch because I want to get in touch with Alex about possibly paying to sponsor this event out of my pocket. Perhaps we can then make it an annual event. :-)!
  16. my doctor does not want me losing more than a pound a week but I'm having the same problem. I am not losing anymore either I was banded Dec 2012. Starting weight 289 now between. 205-210. I am very limited on exercise due to disability but I walk with a cane and do not use a scooter anymore . I know if I could lose at least 15 lbs I'd be able to walk more. I DO count calories. I eat 1200-1400 tops sometimes less than 1200. I am going to be running the N. Brevard County, FLbariatric pal support group so hopefully that will help .
  17. Amazing ! Are plastics cheaper in Colombia ?
  18. I will meet Wednesday mornings 9:15 AM IN TITUSVILLE. Sunrise Bread Company 315 S Hopkins Ave. RSVP 321-480-9881
  19. I will meet Wednesdays at Sunrise Bread Company in the upstairs reading room at 9:15 AM. Please RSVP to let me know you'll be there. I'd like to find a non-food related venue in the area so please come and let us support each other. Call me at 321-480-9881, Thanks, Diane Walsh
  20. Heck I find it harder now to lose weight than before surgery so this certainly is not the easy way out.
  21. OK I celebrated the 27th anniversary of my 39th birthday last night and I did over indulge a bit lol. I had enough drinks to be brave enough to get up and sing karaoke. OK I survived but I don't recommend binge drinking, you might wind up like me and sing karaoke LOL
  22. I failed to mention my left arm and hand still have residual paralysis and spasticity so I am limited but pedaling my feet in a stationary position might work. I'd have to figure out my left arm and hand issue when it comes to pedaling my arms but I'm all for it. Thanks for your hep.
