  1. I'm in Titusville , FL and I would live ANY place in FL . I lived in NY Long Island for over 30 years, would take a hurricane over a nor'easter any day lol.
  2. Thanks for the heads up!
  3. I'm sitting on a plane right now. I looked at the narrow seats, I ALWAYS have to lift the armrest to fit and ask for a seatbelt extension. I was so worried because this plane is packed. Anyway I fit in the seat and was able to buckle my seatbelt without an extension! Does that count as a Non Surgical Victory? I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! This may seem minor to someone else but I actually have years in my eyes. I have not been able to sit in a regular airline seat for over 26 years!
  4. I' in FL but visit Atlanta often. What part of Atlanta do you live in?
  5. Well I use a straw and I wasn't told NOT to use a straw. So, in a public restaurant I will only use a straw. My doctor had originally banned carbonation but in small amounts it is OK. So I occasionally indulge in a diet Coke or diet Pepsi but not everyday l used to drink a diet soda everyday but not anymore. Now if they took my coffee away I'd be in serious trouble lol. I love my coffee!
  6. Congrats! Good luck to you!
  7. Hey , I'm with you on the 5th fill. It's not here yet buy I'm hoping 6 will be the magic number. I can still eat a cup of food easily and still want a little more but I stop after a cup. It's not going to drop off like a by-pass but my friend has already gained almost all her 100 lbs back through bypass. WLS is not a magic bullet no matter what procedure you choose but I'm praying I hit that sweet spot in the green zone too. Good luck to you!
  8. Well, I'm fairly new compared to your surgery dates but please, I need support too so I'd be glad to give you moral support. Banded 12/28/12. Thanks!
  9. Well I don't drink a whole beverage during a meal but I do take sips of Water usually after thoroughly chewing my food. I really haven't had a problem what I don't understand how the pouch would get dilated on a couple of sips of water. Then after I'm finished eating I wait about a half hour and finish my water. So far I haven't had a problem
  10. My insurance paid all but $1,000 of my surgery. I have never been more committed to losing weight insurance or no insurance. I was ready to self pay but my doctor considered my WLS as medically necessary. I am so committed to losing weight more than ever now.
  11. We all have cravings but your tool when properly filled will help you to eat in smaller quantities. I eat everything I did before but in extreme moderation. Hang in there, you will still be eating just a lot less
  12. I love your name Hynita! It sounds so pretty!
  13. Prayers for you all. I've been there and done that when I was a high risk pregnancy 30 years ago. I was on heparin I'VE for 5 months of my pregnancy.
  14. What you're feeling is normal. Best of luck to you!
  15. Congratulations on your son!
  16. Your mom is right, even try lugging a 10 lb bag of potatoes all day, then let it go.... Feels better doesn't it? Every pound lost is a victory so good for you losing that weight!
  17. My fitness pal name is tutti517
  18. Ok try tutti517 (that's my nickname-tutti), it's a different profile pic of me wearing my glasses but it's me.
  19. I'm 6 months post op and I'm still in bandster hell but with the help of my fitness pal I'm doing OK. I know that when I go for my fill in August I will be where I should be. My doctor is extremely conservative with fills. I don't want to be overfilled so I'm OK with that.i'm also glad that my surgeon does my fills so he is on top of any complications that might occur.
  20. I was able to do everything right away but it took me two weeks until a full recovery. I was just cautious bending over but every move I made was very helpful with my recovery.
