Spicy food
Post band I am actually able to eat spicy foods. I used to have to chase spicy foods with tums. I seriously kept a huge bottle of max strength tums in my house at all times. Mind you I have no restriction yet so not sure I will be able to as I go along.

OA anyone?
I attend na/aa for free here in my hometown. I am too far away from and support group. My theory is: the support is all about an addiction and I have that. I don't drink or use drugs but I find I can relate to a lot they are saying and its helpful to me.

Sleeping after surgery
I slept on the couch for 3 days after surgery, propped up with pillows just shy of sitting up. After that I went back to my bed sleeping on my side and 4-5 weeks out from surgery I could sleep on my stomach again. I sleep a lot better now, No more sleep apnea or heartburn to wake me up in the middle of the night.

First Fill Next Monday
I am working with willpower also and something someone said on this site really resonated with me: "I can eat anything I want, I chose not to" Something like that and I remind myself that everyday. I went thru all this for a reason and my part of this is to get used to lapband portions, learning how to chew, logging foods, drinking enough fluids, how to cook for my protein needs, how not to eat mostly processed foods, Pacing myself and The hardest one for me NOT DRINKING while eating< uggh. I needed this time in "bandster hell" to get used to these things so when I do get to the "zone" im not miserable getting stuck, PB, Vomit those thing freak me out.

Clinical - Cold - Cattle Call?
I am pretty enraged by this. I am so sorry you have to deal with these people it is nowhere near a healthy surgeon relationship. I hope you can find another surgeon who gives a ****. Hang in there!

Havent lost any weight on mushies
This is just me but my thought is please don't get addicted to your scale. You will go up and down but as the months go bye you will see the loss if your doing what your supposed to. Your body will hold on to your weight and decide when it wants to release it. Its the overall that counts the daily and weekly do not especially while healing. Keep your eye on the real prize your health and measurements.

Now were talking.................
Went to my primary doctor today he is very proud of my dedication and my blood panel. My fasting A1c shows I am headed on the right path to remove my Pre-diabetic (insulin resistance) status! AND the very best thing is he reduced my blood pressure meds to the lowest possible dose! I am so excited these very things scared the hell out of me, hence the reason I actually did something about my weight. Doc states he will fully take me off my BP meds if I continue to report lower levels THIS IS HUGE TO ME. I hate taking pills and my poor heart having to work so hard for so long. I have been on BP meds for years. This is me excited: Shaking my booty............ (__/__)...(__|__)...(__\__)
