Hello everyone! I have a quick question. I have 6.5 in an 11cc band. I was banded in March of this year. I have since lost 46 pounds! With this last fill (.5 cc) I have noticed that a lot of my food is getting stuck. I am having a hard time with small bites. The question is, since things are finally starting to get stuck, am I getting close to the green zone? Thanks for any feed back!

I have had a total of 6 fills. I am still not in the green! Each fill was 1cc and I have an 11cc band! Hopefully next fill will bring some restriction! GL!!!

I was 315 when banded in March. Now, I am at 269. I have 5cc in an 11cc band and feel no restriction. Hopefully when I get up to 6 or 7 cc it will get better!

But what if it does work? Think about that. The glass should always be half full.

I would suggest legal help.

Everyone is different. Look to lose 1-2 pounds a week. It is time to heal. At about 6 weeks is when you can start to focus on that!

I work in this area. The doctor is support to refer you to another health care facility. If they don't, it's considered abandonment and u can sue them. Look up abandonment on google and review your rights!

I get peanut butter! It's sweet and a little bit goes a long way! Or, you can always eat some plain oat meal with Splenda, Protein Shakes are sweet, sf pudding/jello, apple sauce ( natural ) sf gum. Things like that work with moderation! Good luck.

I just had my first fill today! He put 3 cc's into my band. I still don't feel like I have a band on! Hang in there! We all walk this walk!

I was banded 3/13/13 and they said nothing but soft foods until 6 weeks post op. Maybe you shouldn't eat like that until you speak with the doctor. Good luck

Yay! It took a week for my approval. I was denied the first time. Then my doctor talked to the insurance co. I was approved after that! Keep us posted!!!

Ok thanks! I'm hoping once I see the surgeon on the 22nd It will all feel more real.I had to wait 9 months originally, which turned out to be 14 months because I didn't want to behave around the holidays. Just keep in mind your doctor can with hold this from you if you don't put your heart into it. You should do great! Keep us posted!

My surgeon insisted I lose weight during that diet period. Or at least stay the same. If I had gained, he would put my surgery off for a month, or until I got it under control. I was suppose to be banded in November 2012. I got banded 3/13/13. Ask your surgeon, and he will be able to give you the right answers. But try your best to lose some now. It will make you better for surgery! Good luck!

I was banded 3-13-13. I have learned to start to "feed myself" before its too late. I don't want to see how long in between meals I can go. And like too much fun said, I choose healthy things to eat. I try to fit all of my meals/snacks in before I get to a point of hungry.

Huh! Well, maybe spring allergies?

If you just had your surgery, it could be where the tube was down your throat. That happened 3 days post op and lasted for about a week.

Thank you! I know I am taking too big of bites. It is something I am working on. It is my fault I am getting stuck. But I am always hungry. I guess I do need more. Thanks for the advice and the link. I'm going to check it out now!
