I was always a tall average person. I was married in Feb. 2001 and became pregnant soon after. I gave birth to a baby boy in Oct. 2001 and durning the course of being pregnant, I gained over 100 pounds. I didn't look good and didn't feel good. I sunk into a really bad depression and the weight just kept coming on. I became a joke to myself. I tried every diet on the face of the planet. Nothing helped. Then I had another boy in Mar. 2007. I didn't gain much with that pregnancy and lost it a few days after his birth. I started searching every place I could find to lose the weight. It eventually got to where climbing stairs was hard and painful. I slept all day just to find my dreams and not be apart of reality. Then in Jan. 2012, my sister called me with some exciting news. Our insurance would cover the cost of a lap band and all I had to do was some test to prove I was in need of it. My journey was hard, but it helped having her with me. (her band will be put on in April.) I was banded March 13, 2013 and my life is being changed one day at a time. My kids are getting the mom they deserve and I am getting the life I need.
