I had a fill Monday.... swallowed my water that day with no problem....I've been on liquids since...today I went to the emergency room found out I have step throat! My sugar free low cal powerade is going down like cement. I called the doctors office and wouldn't u know it, they left early...feeling miserable! How do I help myself until morning? Will an illness make your band too tight? More info-banded 2-18-13 First fill 3cc Second fill 2cc Third fill 1cc Unfill .5 one week later Fourth fill 1 cc Total in my 10cc band is 6.5 I've lost a total of 50lbs I have never PB or gotten stuck...thanks in advance.

I was banded 2/18/13. I have a total of 6cc in my 10cc band. My last fill was Monday it took me from 5cc to 6cc. I have not PB'd or thrown up since being banded. The problem is this. I can SIP my liquids with a straw no issue...my food is now hurting to go down. I take small bites and chew chew chew...Before the last fill I was able to eat 4 oz of food but was still hungry about two hour after eating...now two tablespoons in with pain I have to stop. Am I too tight? Could this get better with more time? What would you do? Thanks in advance and please be kind in your responses. I'm on edge and I dont want to go off on anyone.

I'm just curious about multivitamins. I'm using Opurity band optimized. It works ok but the flavor is icky! What do u use? My nut says I can use whatever I like but I don't like this one lol. Your input would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I had nothing at the time of placement. I received 3cc four weeks later and 2cc three weeks after that. I have a total of 5 cc in a 10cc band.

I was banded 2/18/13...I've had so many people bash my band. It usually goes like this..OMG you have mutilated your body, or you know that band has a high failure rate, or the plain old you should've got the sleeve its the best. I am happy so far with my band. I started at 273 post op and now weigh 239. I have yet to get a fill or even be cleared for excercise. Why must people bash my band. Please let me know how you feel and how you handle Band Bashers.. thanks

I totally agree. I opt for telling people I'm excercising and changing my eating habits...anything else is simply not their business...I gave up trying to make them get it. I'm trying to live a better life for me.
