  1. Amanda, how far post op are you? I really like the idea of juicing rather than drinking so much crystal light stuff. How do you figure calories?
  2. I'm having surgery 2/28 and am planning to go back on 3/18. I have a desk job but a half hour commute each way.
  3. Add me! Feb 28 is my surgery date. Start the diet Thursday 2/28. Can't wait!
  4. I'm 56 and scheduled for surgery 2/28/13.
  5. I had an ablation in 2004. Best thing I ever did. I was 48 when I had it done, after suffering for 20 years with horrible heavy long periods.
  6. Scheduled for 2/28. Anyone else in New Jersey?
  7. Surgery 2/28 I am a little scared, but also excited. I was supposed to have the sleeve but my surgeon really feels RNY is much better as I have a hiatal hernia and Gerd.
  8. Until noon today I thought I was going to be a sleeve patient. But then my surgeon in my pre op appt told me he thought the bypass was a better option. I have a hiatal hernia and reflux. So here I am. Surgery is scheduled for 2/28.
  9. I'm 2/28 too. Had cardiac clearance today-- no stress test! Tomorrow is my pre-op appt with doctor. I will find out what the pre op diet is.
  10. I could have written the original post. I have thought and thought about this, gave myself every reason not to have surgery. But then I went to a seminar and started researching. I am having surgery 2/28/13. I can't wait. I have had enough of being fat, being in pain every time I walk, tired if always being sick. Like you, I have a mother who would never get this. So I am not telling her. We'll see what she has to say after the fact! We'll all get healthy together!
  11. Me too! Just got the letter today! Surgery 2/28
  12. Woohoo! Just got my insurance authorization today! Surgery 2/28
  13. I really appreciate the kind words of encouragement! Can't wait to be on losing side.
  14. Wonderful post! Thank you for this. I am having surgery 2/28 and am a little nervous. However, the fat has ruled me for too long.
  15. Good luck! Prayers that all will be well.
