  1. 1 1/2 ounce of rotisserie chicken and 5 asparagus tips.
  2. 1 1/2 ounce of rotisserie chicken and 5 asparagus tips.
  3. During purée I made chicken tenders in crock pot with cream of mushroom soup--2 cans--and some fresh mushrooms and carrots. Cooked it for 5 hours on low. My family loved them over potatoes and I puréed mine in blender. Not bad. The world according to egg face blog has some great recipes for puréed foods. I also ate a lot if puréed soup.
  4. Can you eat soft food yet? I can't tolerate any of the shakes-- they make my face sweat and then I have to run to the bathroom. I do fine with plain milk, but not the shakes. I am getting a lot of protein from soft turkey meatballs, soft fish, chicken, hummus, custards.
  5. I am on soft foods and meatballs are allowed if they are cut in tiny pieces and moist. I am also allowed pot roast, dark meat chicken, baked fish and tuna, egg and chicken salad (no celery) with light mayo. Also well cooked veggies, scrambled egg with cheese, bananas, applesauce, smoothies, no sugar ice cream and custard, soups and yogurt. I will not choke down another protein drink. My surgery was 2/28 and today had a leak test and everything was good! Hope this helps!
  6. One Trader Joes turkey meatball with a tablespoon of sauce. Yum.
  7. I'd like to. I have an old acme juicer. It works so well!
  8. I received a wonderful box from my pen pal, Patsy! Lots if treats including protein chips. I am really liking forward to trying them as soon as I am on normal foods! Lots of great things too, like socks and an eye mask and a change purse and a wonderful to go coffee cup!
  9. A recipe from egg face blog on the puréed food section for a pot roast. Omg! It was excellent. My family had it in-puréed and loved it. Also had a tablespoon of mashed potatoes. Yum yum yum!
  10. I found the recipe in the website but tweaked it: 2 cups 1percent milk 2 eggs 1/4 cup trivia blend 2 t vanilla Heat milk in micro 3 minutes. Meanwhile whisk eggs. Add trivia to eggs. While whisking eggs, add some hot milk then whisk into milk. Add vanilla. Put 7 or 8 small ramekins in a 9 x13 pan. Fill ramekins with custard. Pour a quart of hot water in pan. Bake 325 Check at 30 minutes to see if done. Chill and eat.
  11. Baked ricotta. Yum. Then for a snack sugar free baked custard.
  12. A little chicken breast cooked in crock pot with soup
  13. I know just how you feel! I have a similar picture my sister in law posted on Facebook. It was awful but I made it easier to make the decision. I am 2 weeks post op. 22 lbs gone.
  14. 1 tablespoon smoothed chili and 1/4 cup cauliflower Mac and cheese. 15 days post op so everything is mashed.
  15. I started this with 130 pounds to lose. Started at 286. Day of surgery was 2/28/13 and I am now 264. 22 lbs gone forever-108 to go!
  16. I am 2 weeks out HW 286 DoS 281. 2/28/13 3/13/13 264 22 pounds gone forever!
  17. It's really interesting how different each practice is! You should mention the cravings to your nutritionist. I was told I could have unsweetened applesauce if I felt weak or hungry.
  18. It's been interesting! I am sick of liquids and I hate Protein shakes. Yuck. I was much better when I could have coffee. I love my decaf lattes which agree with my stomach. On Thursday I progress to puréed food--can't wait. Right now I am craving a scrambled egg and a mashed potato. Oddly, I seem to have lost my sweet tooth. Hope it stays away. I think the coffee, mostly warmed skim milk with a bit of decaf, is getting me through. How are you doing?
  19. I have had very little pain. Surgery 2/28 and home 3/2 and last pain med was 3/3. In past, I had 2 c-sections and a complicated gall bladder removal 26 years ago. I was loaded with adhesions from old surgery, so much that it took doc 5 hours to do surgery. It was laparoscopic. I had the best surgeon. He is one hour from my home, and even tho there are centers of excellence 5 minutes from my home, I chose him because he is excellent. Dr Andrei in Livingston NJ is my hero!
  20. 2.5 weeks. I work a desk job and will go back March 18.
