  1. I need some advice on getting off of this plateau. I haven't lost any weight in about 2 weeks. Yes, I know this might not be a major plateau for some, but it is for me. My weight had been falling off at 1-2 lbs a week up until now. I log everything in MFP, I exercise at least 5 days a week. My doctor put me on only 900 calories a day, which seems too low to me. I think that my body is going into starvation mode. I just had a fill on 6/3 and I haven't lost with that. I know that I am not in the green zone yet, because I am hungry every 3 hours and the pounds are just not dropping now. Any advice would be great. I feel like I am following my doctor's guideline exactly, so why am I stalling out? Thanks for any input you have. I love getting positive feed back, but please keep all the negative comments to yourself, they really make people more discouraged. I only saying that, because I have had that happen before. Thanks!935239_541659985872414_1916501414_n.jpgThe new me 42 lbs lighter!

  2. I am almost 4 months post op:

Breakfast: Usually greek yogurt or turkey bacon or sausage.

Lunch: I love wraps made with low carb tortillas, turkey pepperoni, ham, and cheese. Sometimes I eat tuna or chicken salad too.

Supper: Baked or grilled meat, I can pretty much any meat, but I stick to the leaner varieties. Veggies.

Snacks: String cheese, fruit, yogurt, sf Jello, sf popsicles.

I do eat potatoes occasionally. Pasta and rice rarely. On the days I eat these I make sure to have a really good workout to counteract the carbs. Hope this helps!

  3. I have 5 cc in my 10 cc band. I was banded on 2/28/13 and have lost 42 lbs. It has been slow for me the past month, but I have at least lost. I guess like the other person said, just go back to the basics. I would like to hit the green zone too. I can eat more than a cup, but I try not to. I get hungry in between meals also. I am hoping that when I get 6 cc's I can be there finally. Good luck to you! 65 lbs is great, but I can understand your frustrations too.

  4. My MFP always says I will weigh 173 in 5 weeks for the past week, well my weight finally went down again after a week. I wouldn't go by that, because it never seems to go that way and you will get discouraged. My doctor put me on 900 calories a day, which is perfect for me. I can't seem to get much more than that in.

  5. Seem like you are doing everything right. Are you logging you food and counting calories? There are always hidden culprits in the food we eat. I would try calorie cycling to get you going. Just every other day eat 100-200 more calories than the day before. It has great success in getting you started and keeping you out of a plateau. Best of luck!

  6. I am so sorry that you are having a hard time. I can tell you this though, it does get easier. The first few weeks you do struggle with adapting to a new you. It was so hard to get Water in, gas pains, and of course incision pains. After those first few weeks you will feel great. You will see the weight start dropping and have even more energy than before. Your exercise program kicks butt, I had to work my way into exercising. I never exercised prior to surgery, but I started exercising 3 weeks post op and have been going hard at it since. You will get back to your normal routine just going to take some time. I hope that you will keep pushing through! You will get there and it is going to be awesome. Sending lots of prayers and hugs from Georgia! :)
