I was 240 the morning of surgery..
I'm at 215 now!
It has been reallllllyyyy sssllllowwww this last 2 months, most of the weight came off during the first month, but im happy.
I'm having my gallblader removed next month, hopefully that can help me shred a couple of more pounds lol

I was banded March 2012 and became pregnany Sept 2012. It is now June 2013 and I have an 8 week old baby girl.
My port 'bothered' me months 7 on, just because my belly was so big. By month 9, my port had turned ( flipped) so it was uncomfortable but not painful. Now, 2 months postpartum my port is loose. I am back down to my pre pregnancy weight, but obviously the port was 'pushed' around with my growing uterus. It still moved. At this point I'm not interested in more surgery to re-attach. I plan to loose more weight ( modified band diet as I'm breastfeeding) as well as re-assess in a year based on my body getting back to it's post pregnancy state. Not sure if I've helped , but port site was not painful. I guess my point is that anything can happen , you just assess as you go on. I'd like to suggest your health for you and eventually having a healthy baby might be worth a little discomfort. It is for me. Best of luck.

Today i decided to take a picture and see if i could find any difference in my body after 27lb loss.
I'm happy! Not what i was expecting, but getting there!
Tomorrow i'll have my first fill.
Started at 252lb, 225 lb today! (I'm 5'6")

I'm going to try and see how it goes. The worse it could happen is not loosing all the weight i expect right? Lol
And YES! Im doing lots of walk (as i cant fully exercise until week 6).. I'm also doing drainage lymphatic massage 3x a week, that helps with inches and helps in not retaining Water

Hi guys!
Yesterday i had to call my surgeon after an excruciating pain i had at my upper stomach and upper back.
My surgeon asked me to meet him at the clinic for a barium swallow, and that showed up fine. (I thought i was stuck, but there was nothing there).
So he sent me to the ER, to run a CT scan, and the ER dr. just said that the results showed a very inflamed lining, and bad gastritis specially around the band, and that my surgeon asked me to admit me, and we will go from there.
He should stop by soon (i hope), but im freaking out. Could they want to remove my band?
I always had gastritis, but the ppi for a couple of weeks always cured.
Ugh! I'm so scared!

I just got home, and what i had was a gallstone attack.
I have some gallstones still, and my surgeon thinks is saver to plan a removal of my gallbladder.
He said that if happens again to go straight to the ER and get it removed!
Hopefully i wont have another episode! I really dont want to deal with another surgery right now. Maybe in a few months!

I'm still having some discomfort, mostly in my chest.
Today i moved my diet to liquids, and had a pack of cream of wheat with soy milk. I'm not sure if is bad, but i managed to eat the whole thing...
I havent ate anything since surgery, just some sips of Water.. Wasnt feeling up to anything.. But last night i almost passed out, so, today needed to start the right way.
So far im feeling good, thirsty after the Cereal, but i think i can hold another hour.

I was banded yesterday! I still cant believe how good im feeling. Having NO pain at all. Im a little itchy around my incisions, and a little weak, but other than that it seems like i havent have surgery. I cant thank GOD enough about this. This morning a had a barium xray, and my surgeon said that i'm very swollen, and that i should stick to the clean liquids until sunday, and then monday i can start my stage 3 diet. So, far today i only had a cup of prune juice, and half cup of Protein Shake very liquid as he recommended more milk so it wont be too tick. Im sooo happy that im banded
My surgeon also congratulated me saying how easy my surgery went, that he was very proud of me, and my liver was very small so i guess my little cheating didnt affect that lol

I dont intent to cheat on the post op, the cheating i mentioned happened in the preop as i was super anxious and hungry.
I'm not hungry at all so far, and monday i can start to eat oatmeal, cream of wheat and cream of rice, condensed Soups, etc.. And im sure i wont be cheating at all! Im aware of how important os to follow my surgeon's orders!

I managed to have a good night of sleep. Woke up to go to the bathroom by myself, my incisions are a little bit sore than yesterday, gas pain i think is gone..
