3. UPDATE: Well so far so good! Still dropping in size..size 10 or junior 30 inch jeans getting big. Buying medium tops still. Only down 3lbs in almost a month but this is due to going to gym in morning 7 days a week 30 min cardio and 45 min strength training plus walking 5 days a week on lunch and golf at night. Addicted! The look of my body completely transforming and getting defined. For every 5lbs lean muscle mass you gain, you burn 1700 more calories a week I read. But...now I am losing hair which is due to calories and shock of surgery and lucky me had kidney stone surgery in Dec..weight loss in Feb and 5 days ago had #3 to have ovary removed **growths came back beneign ** I only took pain pills first two days. I actually walked slowly a mile day 3 and 2.5 miles day 4. The hardest part is taking antibiotics and 3 other meds, all my vitamins then not eating due to being full from h2o to get them down. I also get insomnia with anethesia so once again sleeping 1-2 hrs a night. It is hard not to sit and chill. I just want to keep busy so I lay in the sun with weight training/fitness/receipe books lol. Cannot return to work for 14 days! Is anyone having problem with back? I feel like I have a tight band around back of rib cage (not gallbladder since already had that removed too). I am hoping not my kidneys again.
4. I lost 19 on pre op in two weeks ..I believe it was all beer belly lol. I look at my surgery as a gift from my fiance since he emptied out his savings for me to have since he knew how unhappy I was. He worked hard for that money so I want to work hard to thank him. I go to the gym every morning at 4:30am...then walk at work on breaks and lunch and sometimes after dinner. I get in my protein..take my vitamins etc like I am supposed to. Working out and doing weights really made a huge difference in my body. I also do the couch to 5k app...love it. Once I started that the weight started dropping off....I never thought I would actually enjoy running but I do lol. I am so thankful that the surgery didn't give me low energy like I thought it would..but I also quit smoking and daily happy hour etc in January so that probably helps! I have family and friends who did the surgery and didn't work out so it was slower...I highly recommend making sure you do. It only takes a couple of weeks dragging yourself there for your body start wanting to go...good luck! You can do this!
5. 2/28 surgery...size 18 pant and 2x top. Today size 10 and medium top. Going to gym daily and doing 5 k training..I never thought I would love exercise! Haven't notice much hair loss phew! 235lbs to 168lbs!
6. I was sleeved 2/28/13 and couldn't drink first two months...but I had one here and there. I am a beer drinker but cannot do the fizz or want the carbs. I order vodka whipped (whip cream flavor) with water in a large glass. I carry crystal light orange in my purse and add just a little. It tastes like fruit loops or a creamsicle..mostly if you add a tiny splash of low-fat milk. I also did it with Malibu rum. I got lucky since I had 4 the other night and barely had a buzz.
7. Tylernol cold and throat is the only liquid I could find. The just call it that to put price up. No chewables anywhere. sugar free popsicles...they were only way I got get Fluid in. 8 weeks post op and my favorite thing still!
8. Thanks for info everyone about the ear problems possibly dehydration etc...it could be. I felt it earlier and had fluids..feel better.
9. It comes off and on...first thing in morning and late night is most times of day.
10. Anyone having problems with ears? It is really weird...can't really explain it. Antibiotics from Dr didn't help...netti pot...ear flushing...drops to dry out...tried everything. They are muffled...feels I have been out in cold wind. Has been since sugery. Probably not related..
11. 7 weeks tomorrow since surgery...finally starting to sleep more (anesthesia gives me insomnia) and just found out have to have another surgery to remove 2 golf ball size masses in ovary.....this will be third anesthesia in less than 5 months (had kidney stone surgery end of Nov). In cry mode tonite just ready to heal..sleep well...get back to all activities. Hopefully it will go well and won't have to remove ovary....thank goodness for vacation and sick pay.

How do you reconcile?

Thanks it is worth it to me too. If had to quit smoking etc...so I was spending more than that before lol
14. I wrote earlier I self paid and didn't go thru my insurance. I ended up at ER day 3 post up due to dehydration from nausea due to pain meds. The bill was $2300. My insurance does not pay for anything related to elective surgery that did not go though them. Lucky for me the ER coded as dehydration so $1700 was paid but I still have additional $500 bill. My Dr also submitted blood work etc in as acid reflux and that was paid.

Boobs?

I think I should add the reasons some bras have seems... and there is reasons for each kind. Yes you can see under certain clothes but seems give you a better lift. I actually pulled this off a site and wrote a little note under... There are several seamed cup variations: Horizontal seams - This seam design tends to give a more projected and slightly conical shape to the cup. Think Jane Russell ..you see this in playtex boxed bras..lilyette bras...larger breasted women love this seem for great support but it is a little pointy Vertical center seams - More commonly found in demi or balconette cup shapes, this vertical center seam is very supportive and gives an uplifting effect to the breasts. These bras are pretty ..but you tend to overspill after wearing during the day or bending over Transversal seams - This seam type is arched or curved in shape, and thus gives a more rounded shape to the breast tissue while also being very supportive. I like this seem Felina and Wacoal bras are like this ..pricey but my two favorite... Diagonal Seams -provide support. c entering and lift to the breasts. And the diagonal design (generally starting low in the center and getting higher at the sides) also gives a very flattering appearance to the wearer Same as above...another favorite shape Now..minimizer bras...I also like...my favorite fitting bra is a wacoal minimizer ..it is ivory with lace on cup. But....pricey not sure $ now but $70-$90 range. But if you baby this bra it is worth every penny if it is a good fit for you. Minimizer bras are shallow cups ..but the breast tissue has to go somewhere so it pushes under arms Mandi

Any seattle sleevers ?

Don't be scared ...for me it was uncomfortable first two days....(I have had worse hangovers lol) I was at the Edmonds Surgical center. I saw Dr Landerholm 6 days post op. He said I was doing so good he didn't need to see me at one monh or 2 months....unless I have problem I go back for 3 month..I truely believe this is because I got up every 15 min or so and walked around .....my sister and I think Dr. L is so good looking ...something about his smile and eyes...just lights you up. Lol
18. Thank you I have never seen anything like it. I had clot the size of small plumb weird
