  3. Hey Blondie, I am about 4.5 weeks post and am experiencing the same thing u lost 18kg (12 pre surgery and 6 post) then all of a sudden I got hungry I have mainly stuck to the 1 cup but sometimes I even forget about the bands and eat things and then I think crap should I have eaten solid food like that! I also have put on 3kgs and I have even uped my exersize I constantly worry after I eat that I have stretched the band or busted something, because I went from feeling repulsed by the site of food after my surgery to struggling to stay away from it again still got 2 weeks left until my first fill
  4. Ohhh I would be hella worried, It took me a while to find a surgeon I am happy with, I paid quite a few initial consultation fees and even passed on one because the whole clinic seemed unorganised! Ur placing ur body in someone's hands u need to trust them! Where abouts are u located?
  5. Hi there, I dropped a lot in the first week post surgery and I lost a lot in pre op diet as well but it has completely stopped for me in the last week (2 weeks post surgery) and I was doing a 2.3 km walk a day I have now upped it to 3.3km hoping for some results, it does say everywhere that this period of time is not about loosing weight but its hard to accept that when you are eating next to nothing!! The only thing I can suggest is counting your calories? So u can see exactly what your eating is totalling, there is a great app called my fitness pal you should try it
  6. Hi guys, I moved into the mushy stage early (as per the ok of my docs dietician, however I Confused about the portion size ill explain. The book my clinic gave me said 1 cup serving size per meal, but on there site is says 1/2 cup per meal. (I saw this yesterday). I have been having 1 cup and have had no issues but I am concerned if I am over doing it I may be stretching my pouch. I have been having things like pureed spaghetti (a suggested recipe in my book) and tomato Soup for lunch Protein shake for Breakfast. Just wondering what others have been told
  7. Yeh I would say it would be ur asthma, but make sure u check in with ur doc just to be safe, I had a lot of pain in my gut but once I started walking it was only my port site that was sore and is still uncomfortable even now (I think that can't take several weeks to feel normal again) It was funny for me up until day 4 I wasn't drinking anything other than juice and Water and day 4 I had my first Protein shake, then day 5 I was hungry so had some fat free tomato Soup then by day 8 I was starving so spoke to my clinics dietician about moving into the pureed phase early and tonight was my first problem night although It was the first night I rememberd not to drink while eating and I only got through half a cup if dinner so yeh the hunger kind of came on from me out of no where really but I had read things about it being a sign u are healing and to talk to ur dr about moving into the next post op diet stage I have done pretty well with my weight so far and have Ben doing a lot of wAlking I am glad I went through with it all
  8. Hello lovely Annie I say lovely because I feel ur pain that was me last week I even told my dr I was failing to see the upside, The pain came as such a shock to me because everywhere I read said that is was more uncomfortable than pain and hell for me that was wrong. I can say it does get better, I am 13 days post today and whilst I'm not 100 percent I am feeling a hell of a lot better. I do know u see this everywhere but I started doing 2km walks everyday and it helped me strengthen my muscles again and get used to breathing heavy with all the soreness in my gut. I hope this helps ur not alone!!
  9. Hi meli I am 13 days post op today, I occasionally had a bit of a cough with some flem last week (my little boy has a cold though and it's quite hot where I am so we have a lot of fans and air con going which may have also contributed) not to scare u but I have read that if u cough a lot through the night while sleeping it could mean a dislodged band although I am sure there would have to be other symptoms as well, How are u going with it all? I was I'm a lot of pain the first week post surgery, I felt like something was wrong with me as everywhere u read people said they felt nothing, if u need to talk or ask question feel free to ask me (I had so many qs and still do good to have a fellow bandit to bounce them off!)
