  1. I never order through the mail...clothes or shoes. They vary too much, from one brand to the next.
  2. Will, you'll do fine! Get that band, get those smaller clothes - in styles and colors that you really like. Then get that Harley and/or convertible and hit the road! Betty has both and she's having a blast.
  3. Corgi, hugs and prayers for a noneventful surgery and easy recovery. Please let us know how you're doing when you feel like it.
  4. Christina, what is the reason they're giving you for the denial? Do you know for sure that they cover the adjustable gastric lapband procedure (not the gastric bypass)?
  5. Jamie, can't wait to hear all is well! Prayers and hugs to you.
  6. I've hung onto a beautiful size 3 sweater from Sakowitz. I'm in a 10 now. Who knows, maybe!
  7. Alice, if you'll pm me what you'd like it changed to, I'll contact Mr. Alex to change it for you. It may take a couple of days for him to get it changed.
  8. Jean, best of luck to you! Have you gone to the Inamed website and checked their dr. listings for a fill dr.? Once you get a name, please call that dr's office direct and confirm BEFORE you get your band that he/she will accept you. If you do a "search", you should find tons of info. on Mexican band drs., what to bring, what to expect, etc.
  9. No, how about going to ebay and checking out "lapband"?
  10. So glad all is going well, Crystal. And your asthmas really will get better! Keep drinking and walking.
  11. Tricia, those are ALL great!
  12. Good for you, Sharon! This is a long-term relationship and you want a band surgeon (and staff) that's competent, available, and professional when you need them.
  13. Sharon, did you get that "deer in the headlights" look? Sorry, Kelly, but I hate to pb! Yuk!
  14. Dlynn, I merged both your threads since they're on the same topic and you'll be able to get more responses easier.
  15. Thanks, Paula! That's very encouraging news. P.S. You really are doing great!
  16. Most people get their band placed in the hospital operating room or in a surgi-center. I'm not familiar w/anyone getting one in the dr's office.
  17. Brandi, you won't know until you try! Best of luck to you! My pre-existing health problems qualified me for the band. How sad that we have to look for serious health problems in order to get better health! Hopefully, some day the insurance companies will wake up and realize what a wonderful preventative tool the band is...to help people manage their weight before those issues happen.
  18. Christina, fight the insurance company. I was denied, appealed, and got my band. You can do it! Did they give you any reasons for denial?
  19. Now, Paula, isn't that one of the things that got us in trouble in the first place? LOL
  20. Jamie, it's liquid tylenol for Adults. (1 Tablespoon = 1000 mg. of acetaminophen (tylenol). If you can't find that one, Tylenol Sore Throat Liquid (Maximum Strength) is the identical thing. I ran into that same problem and a sweet pharmacist told me that. Just different packaging.
  21. Hi, CJ, good luck on your journey for better health. Please do as much research as you can so you'll know how the band works and what will be expected of you for it to work properly. We look forward to hearing more from you.
  22. Zoe, I haven't, but I wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you and hope you soon get some relief. Wow, when your back hurts, your whole body does! I sympathize w/someone like Michelle's husband -who lives w/back pain 24/7. (((Hugs)))
  23. Ate out...chicken breast covered w/monterrey jack cheese & portabello mushroom sauce - sweet potato w/honey-butter - green beans.
  24. Capitol One offers financing also.
  25. Hi, Betty, LBT is a support forum, not a chat room. Perhaps you'd like to go to the introductions section and post what you'd like to share w/us. You'll get more responses. We do have a chatroom. It's just not used all the time. Best of luck to you and hope to get to "know" you better on here.
