Kim, what a wonderful vacation! And I'm so glad that your band behaved herself out in public. LOL

Need support
Melanie, please be careful about getting a fill if you are currently having problems w/foods getting stuck. This will just increase your problems! You shouldn't be drinking with your meals. Try getting more Protein in your diet. Are you also taking a daily multi-Vitamin. You have done amazingly w/your weight loss. Please sit back and enjoy how far you've come.

after the band.
Also standing w/your back to a pulsating shower seemed to "massage" that area.

How many Flinstone Vitamins?
I also take Viactive Calcium Chews, Flax Seed Oil, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C. I have not had the problems w/hair loss that others have had.

Foods that break down easy........
I guess it's one of those things that you won't understand until you're doing it, Princess. Best of luck to you.

How many Flinstone Vitamins?
I now take the Gummi Vites (like gummy bears). I couldn't stand the Flintstones taste.

My "seminar" yesterday - this will be long, sorry!
I do find it strange that the band surgeon couldn't be at the information seminar. Listen to your instincts, they're usually right. Like someone said earlier, possibly you can get your pretesting done through him, then transfer to another surgeon. But I'd double-check first (w/your ins. co.) and see if this is going to be a problem. Usually, to get a different surgeon, the information has to be resubmitted to the insurance company and you go through the wait process all over again. Does this guy have a website? That might be very informative.

OT - Is This Normal???
Zoe, does your dog do windows?
-
Is it possible?
Glad you're of the crutches! Have you tried taking anything like Robitussion liquid (a cough suppressant)? That should help control your coughing. Hope you're soon feeling much better.

Foods that break down easy........
If you don't eat any meats, how about fish --- baked, broiled, grilled, tuna - fresh and canned? There are several vegetable-based products that should sit in your pouch like a hard protein. I've tried the "breakfast sausage" and "meat patties". They're very good. The point is not to eat a lot of soft foods that will not stay in the band, because you'll feel hungry sooner, and eat larger amounts and more often. Please do your research so you'll know what to expect and how to work w/this band successfully.

North East Winter Weather
Thank goodness you and the kids are safe. Hopefully your winter weather will soon be a thing of the past. Last year, my son had a landscape timber come off of a trailer in front of him. It did some extensive damage to his car. But when I think 2" higher and it would have killed him, the car was small potatoes. Hope your aches and pains are better by tomorrow. I'll send you some of our beautiful weather. We're running around in shorts, working in the flowerbeds.

OT - Is This Normal???
Pat, what were you doing at my house? LOL Thank goodness for bedroom doors! They still have their "stash"....car keys, baseball cap, change, cds, video games, books, back packs, jackets, sunglasses, empty Dr. Pepper cans, poker cards & chips, dirty clothes, clean clothes, etc.

Everyone Please Help Me
Wow, you'll have to make the final call. I, personally, would rather go w/the sure thing...the band and your insurance co. I'd like to see those contestants a year or two down the road. I bet they all gain that weight back and more. You're already beautiful! You don't need that show to prove anything to yourself.

Countdown to Surgery....
You can do this. Just take it one day at a time and your band date will be here before you know it.

OT - Is This Normal???
Jamie, do you have a little Paris Hilton in the making? LOL

Sudden Discomfort
Scotty, I have a lot of trouble trying to eat anything in the a.m. too. If I wait a while and drink plenty of liquids first, then I seem o.k. As the day goes on, it gets easier. This seems to be a pretty common problem w/bandsters. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Most Recent Tummy Tuck Before/Afters
Hi, Peg Leg, I bumped a thread for you (Plastic Surgery Terms). A tummy tuck is not covered by insurance, but a panniculectomy (if medically necessary) often is. That thread gives you the definition of several terms.

had surgery doing fine
Congratulations, Wade! Did your co-worker go ahead and have the surgery w/you? That's wonderful, a "band buddy"! Every day gets better and better.

OT - Is This Normal???
When my sons were that age, they'd drag out their sleeping bags and drape them over our big formal dining room table. It made a wonderful fort. They had all kinds of "survival" equipment in there....flashlights, pillows, a portable radio, snacks, walky talkies. They'd "radio" for lunch and I'd make it and "serve" them in there. They'd invite me in. (This was when I was still skinny! LOL) I loved those fun, innocent times. Wow, I can't wait for grandkids!!

Nsv...
Those are wonderful NSVs! And great weight loss too! 87 pounds! Keep up the great job.

Prescription Problems -
Sunny, since this was a dr. error, I would talk w/ a Pharmacy Manager about getting your $$ refunded. My DH had a similar problem and we got our $$ back. The Pharmacy Mgr. was very nice about it.
