I'm going April 2nd!

I felt the same way. I just told a good friend and they shook their head and said just diet and exercise. Pissed me off! I've done that and it worked but the weight came back. With the band I will diet and exercise but the weight won't come back! I will tell people when they notice the weight loss but I can see that explaining it constantly will be annoying. People need to understand that its not an easy way out! This is gonna be hard work and you are doing it for your health.

Damn I thought friends were suppose to support each other! I am choosing the band cause I want to lose the weight slow. My wife on the other hand is getting the sleeve. I think removing the stomach is crazy but she did the research and she feels its the best one for her. 75 lbs in a year is good! Besides you don't wanna lose it too fast. Sounds like you are doing good. Don't let know one get you down!

Someone please calm my nerves! I'm excited but nervous. Its a big change but I know its for the best. Surgery scares the crap out of me. What's everyone eating once back on solids? All advice welcome.

Ok I feel the same way. I've heard people calling it the easy way out. But you still gotta eat right and exercise. It's not gonna be easy. Not sure who I'm gonna tell

Yeah my doc said no carbonation. Which is not a prob. Just sip enough to test any home brew I make. I do not want to mess anything up with the band

Thanks everyone. I'm going to cut the soda out but I'll take a few sips of beer and see what happens. I'm sure I'll have more questions. Many more lol

I know after the surgery beer will be a thing of the past but being a home brewer and beer snob I like to sample what I brew. How does alcohol effect you with the band? If I sip on a home brew am I gonna get bombed ? Lol. I have no prob giving up beer. I do a six pack a week. If that So giving is not a prob. I don't wanna give up brewing though. People love my beer. So is ok to sip with my squirrel stomach when I get it?

Thanks for the info. I'm ready to have this done. I've lost 80 lbs in the past with diet and exercise. I just need that extra help. I'm at 321 lbs now. My heaviest I've ever been. I'm tired of my joints and back hurting. I'm ready to get off bp meds. I'm really excited for this life change

I've done a lot of research and I see alot of people drink Isopure. I've tried all flavors. Grape is decent. Anyone tried anything else? Any pre op info would be greatly appreciated
