    Pasta!

For those who don't know. I am 12 days banded, 11 pounds down. I am starting as of Tuesday to eat normal foods. I'm still on soft foods currently. Ive been able to keep everything down (knock on wood) while feeling full and satisfied. Tomorrow I'm going to Olive Garden with a friend and I really want my favorite, baked ziti, but I get angel hair instead of ziti. Is eating pasta a good idea? Anyone have problems/success with pasta? Ps I am planning on getting the kids meal version... Not sure weather to get a more solid pasta like ziti or something stringy like angel hair. Comments/suggestions?

    Chicken fried rice...

First craving... Chicken fried rice from the buffet next door! I work in a tanning salon and on my four hour shift I sit and smell amazing Chinese food! Although I am worried about eating rice, I know it expands in your stomach. I am 11 days banded, down 11 pounds and eating soft foods and soup very well. Do y'all think I can eat some rice? Anyone have problems with rice?
  5. I am 5 days post op, had my surgery the morning of Monday the 14th, 6 incisions, Dr. Ikram Kareshi, a colleague of my mother's at Texoma Medical Center. I stayed one night and went home the next day. Everything is pretty smooth so far. Some pain controlled with medication. But I am having trouble POOPING! I know it's disgusting but I cannot poop no matter how hard I try. Pushing hurts my incision where my port is, that's where I've had the most pain. I've been drinking a pro biotic cultured milk smoothie called Lifeway Keifer... I hoped it would keep me some regular despite hardly eating and taking hydrocodone. Does it help do have your abdominal pillow to clutch while on the toilet? I've found that pooting helped with the gas pain but I haven't had a lot of pain doing that. Just any tips? Sorry it's a gross issue.
