I seem to be the lucky one..I have been able to eat whatever I want on the lean and green diet as long as I Iost the weight I needed to in order to schedule my date. I will do Clear Liquids the day before surgery and regular liquids with puddings etc. for 2 days before that...sounds like everyone else has a much more structured plan...not looking forward to the bottle of lemon magnesium citrate....ughhhh

So...I start liquids on feb 3rd....I'm feeling like I should eat whatever I want until februry 3rd because I may never be able to eat these foods again...does/did anyone else have these feelings, I'd hate to gain any of the weight back I have lost but dam...what about the food funeral? Thoughts? I'm not talking about pigging out. Hubby says lets go out to dinner tonight...I say...I'm going big or not going (meaning to me..no broiled fish..yes nice steak or pasta)...

Never too old, I'm going to be 50 this year...good luck, this is a great place to talk to people and get advice and information. I'm schedule for the 6th and had preop appts. yesterday...12 days to go, I still can't believe I am really doing this.

I haven't had to do shakes. I'm doing lean and green and then liquid diet starting the Sunday prior to surgery. I go for pre op on Thursday and hope to get more information then. Was originally going to do sleeve and then changed it last week to bypass. I'm not nervous at all, I'm just afraid I won't lose all the weight. I finally decided to start exercising and am mall walking during lunch and treadmill at home in the evening...it's a start...terrified of the shakes, haven't heard of a good one yet, also the chewable vitamins....Lori

I was going to get the sleeve too and changed my mind. I am scheduled for the 6th. Mixed emotions here...

I feel your pain. I was scheduled for Sleeve surgery on January 30th and after a long heart to heart with My primary care physician (and myself) she felt it better for me to have bypass, so with mixed emotions I have changed my date to February 6th and having the bypass. I'm scared as hell too!!

Hi, My first formal appointment after the orientation was November 12th and I am scheduled for January 30thBe aware that some insurance companies make you be on a physician monitored 6 month weight loss journey before you can even start the process. Good luck

Hello, I really appreciate being able to read this. I am scheduled for January 30th. How did you feel the 1st couple of days? I have an event 2 days after surgery, and I am wondering if i will be able to ride in the car for an hour and 1/2. It really isn't an event. I need to go my nephews hockey game and it is Sr. night (very important for our family) I know it sounds crazy but if I don't think I can go I will move the surgery out a week..any thoughts?
Fabulous February!
