    Too tight?

I have been having the same thing minus the bra problem. I am even experiencing it with my Protein shakes in the morning and even pudding, etc. Thicker things that normally wouldn't budge the slime ball to come it does. I just made an appointment to get some Fluid taken out. As much as I love seeing the number going down the scale I hate that I can barely eat anything and always find myself with a tight chest and loud hiccups.

Help me PLEASE! Need some restrictions!

Thank you all for your advice and tips! 911dispatcher, I like your idea of going back to the basics and hitting up my Protein shakes! lisacaron, absolutely agree with everything you have said! I need to take a look at why I am searching for food, this is a daily issue that ALL people face lap band or no lap band. I can't keep hunting for food the rest of my life! haha!

    Frustration

I am def. feeling you right now with frustration. I have had my band for over a year and have only had two fills so far. I am in dire of need of one REALLY BAD right now which I feel like I am just an eating machine. I can say you will eventually feel the restriction. For some people it happens right away and some people it can take them over 5 fills or even more. I encourage anything to keep the mind off of food but I am only going through the same thing right now! Are you continuing working out? walking? some form of exercise as well?
  4. Hello! By some amazing grace I have had my band since Jan 25, 2013. I have only needed to have two fills since then. My fills on average about every 4-5 months so far. I am just moved so I am having a hard time getting into this new doctor in which they REQUIRE you to take a nutrition class but it is only offered once a month so I have to wait until the feb. class. With that being said, I am due for a fill and need a fill, BAD! I am writing on the forum because I want to know some helpful tips or some success stories on how people have survived the monster of hunger while waiting until you can get a fill. I literally have no restrictions and am not feeling full like normal. What are some good tips? good foods? etc. Like always the morning is always a tougher time. I haven't been going "out" of my whole eating plan but I get cravings more and I simply eat WAY more than what I should be doing. I get this is real life, and what people without the band deal with. Can someone offer up some advice to help me guide through this what feels like a god awful time for my stomach! I DO NOT want to gain anyway or stay plateau for almost a month! Help me, PLEASE?!

    PCOS getting better?

Hello ladies! I sure shyed away from this website! Need to get back at it! I am approaching my 10th month anniversary next Monday! I cannot believe it! I have lost a little over 70lbs now! Holy Crap! I wanted to given an update in regards to PCOS! I haven't been taking birth control for the last 3 months because I am not in a relationship and I wanted to see what would happen! Great news, I am now getting my Periods regularly. I have lost enough weight! Woohoo! The hair growth is still the same, although, I got laser hair removal this past spring on my facial hair and I can honestly say BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! I got a groupon on it with a local spa and it actually is moderated by doctors so it is very legit! It really hurt the first time but after that in and out in less than 10 minutes tops! Look around for groupons on those can save you a BUTT LOAD of money! I can actually say that I feel tons better. I joke all the time when aunt flo comes to town wishing she wasn't in town because I really forgot how annoying she is but I know she is healthy! I hope all your ladies are finding progress and peace!

    Good Morning Band!

Hello all!! I have recently gotten my first fill which went great and am feeling great the only thing like I have read and heard from the doctors that my band is tighter when I wake up and eat that first meal of the day. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how they "wake" up their band?! I am sick of feeling that semi stuck burn in the chest when I chew/mash down a lot of what I eat for Breakfast. Should I just stick to smoother things in the morning or what?! Thanks in advance for all the advice!!

    January 25 bandsters!

I have been doing pretty good! Down 41 since the pre-op diet, and down 27 since surgery. I hit a stall for a few weeks because I had no restriction, gained 6lbs and it slowly came off by the time I had to go in for a fill only losing 3lbs in that month. I got my first fill and it has been a challenge with my biting. I made a mistake and took a drink after I ate some things, and that just backed all the food up to one hot mess of a stuck. Hurt and the last time I will do that. The biggest thing that I have been trying to do is drink water! I have to agree with TXMama, I feel like a totally different person as well, I have never been so motivated in my life! I think that beats the numbers!

    Week 2 Weigh In!

Heck yea girl. You go girl!
  9. Hello! I need some serious help/adive/steerage here! I am VERY new to the lapband world! I had my surgery on Jan 25 and have lost 35lbs since the pre-op diet! I have been experience such a ladder with the scale, going up and down 6-7lbs. I am excercising as well as eating the alotted diet that my surgeon wants me to follow. I am able to eat soft foods now as well! Is this perfectly normal? I do not want to go into the doctor next month with a crazy weight gain since I was last in. Any advice? anyone experience this?

    January 2013 Bandsters Unite

Totally agree blondie! I have been having trouble not wanting to drink while I eat something! I bought a toddler set and eat with that spoon and fork when I am home. I always use my smaller plates when I am eating as well! When I have gone out, I have used the tip of my fork for reference. It sure does take some getting used to when taking the "time" to eat! I work a lot and am in school so planning has been my downfall, I am determined to plan better this week as I move into soft foods! Yay!
  11. Obsessed with your Pinterest recipes! Can't wait to try half of these!!!!

    January 25 bandsters!

I have been drinking water but not a gallon yet. Sure feels like I could. I am still getting used to the not gulping thing. I've caught myself a few times. I'm so ready for soft foods but I'm on full liquids for 2 more weeks. Ill abide by the proper diet but soups are getting boring. I go for my post op check up tomorrow. We will see how it goes!

I have got a recipe for a high Protein smoothie. 1/4 c. orange juice 1/2 c. skim milk 3 tbsp nonfat dry milk 1/2 packet of SF carnation instant Breakfast It evens out at 10.5 grams of proteins Anyone have any other good ones? Also, it seems like the selection of FF Frozen yogurt/sorbet is a little thin in my area, unless I am not looking hard enough. Anyone know of any good brans?
