So my TSH levels are too low...
Now I have been suspended again, my internal medicine doctor won't clear me for the surgery.
I haven't lost faith, but I'm questioning the process. I'm surprisingly not upset at all.
I might not want it anymore.
Anyone had this happen to them?

For a place of acceptance and support, you end up finding users that are judge mental and for a lack of better word stupid! Don't allow that to tarnish your experience! I am counting on your success. And maybe a silly question is the same question we all have. You are just brave enough to ask. I'm getting banded soon. I can't wait for my journey to fully start! I hope you find the guidance you need!!!
Wishing you nothing but success!!!! Another newbie here.

Pre op diets are all so different.
In my network I have a 30 day diet that only allows me to eat 1,200 calories.
No irritating food or Condiments. I'm only allowed to eat very few things like turkey chicken and lettuce and carrots. Some fruits in small amounts and NO sodas NO coffee
It's crazy how all doctors are so different. And al diets are totally depending on your Surgeon.
My liquid pre op diet starts five days before my actual surgery date.
Good luck in your journey.

If you feel the need to cheat' date=' maybe you are not ready. I never cheated because I was afraid of the 'what ifs' etc. Also, if your liver is not reduced in size they will not band you. That is another reason for the pre-op diet of liquids etc. Good luck.[/quote']I wanted to, didn't feel like it.
And the what ifs were what made me stop.
I have to do the liquid for 5 days only so I'm good.

I am getting banded November 4th! How about you?!The 29th!

I started my liquid diet yesterday' date=' still adjusting and craving real food! Haha congrats on your journey![/quote']You can do this! We can do it together!
When are you getting banded?!?!

I wanted to cheat tonight, but just kept feeling guilty.
It's pretty crazy how fast everything can change.
I'm moving forward! This is it!
Thank you for the support. I need it!

It's starting to set in. The whole reality of the situation. I'm getting banded. My life is changing.
It's pretty exciting stuff.

Thank you guys!
I really have to do this. As the day approaches I get anxious.
Of course it's more the going under the anesthesia part.
But every morning when I take almost 8 pills with Breakfast I am reminded why I have to do this.
Thank you for the support. It means the world to share this experience with people who have been there. And who are going through the same process as I am.
God bless you all!
I will be looking forward to letting you all know how great I'm doing!

Mine is scheduled for Wednesday... and I'm so conflicted' date=' especially when you go into the doc's office and there are people who it hasn't worked for... but I'm ready! I've tried every diet and this yo-you stuff sucks! The bottom line is we have to change our eating habits long term. I'm miserable with this weight I'm carrying... so regardless I'm moving forward. Stay positive and relinquish to doing things right and I bet we'll be A-OK![/quote']Thank you.

I'm getting banded on October 29th.
I am starting to get anxious and question my decision.
Did anyone else feel the same?

So' date=' there I am, scheduled for Mr. Band on Nov 14th, thinking I had a couple weeks before pre-op diet to have a couple nice steaks. Yesterday morning I get a call.... SURPRISE, we've rescheduled your surgery for Oct 29th, you need to start your pre-op diet tomorrow (which is today now). Holy horsesnot Batman, I'm totally unprepared. Well, am I as unprepared as I thought.... I quit drinking pop Aug 17th, unsweetened tea since then, tapering off the caffeine each day by watering down the tea more and more. Started trying different Protein shakes in early September to find one I liked, been having them for Breakfast and lunch for about a month now. Found out that Syntha-6 Isolate, chocolate Milkshake, is the f'ing bomb and is my shake of choice. So... today, had 3 Protein Shakes thus far, and am allowed 4 per day, and zero caffeine - Water only. That only totals 660 calories, can this be right? Holy hippo turds Batman, that's not very many calories Maybe I'm not as unprepared as I thought, but I need your help.... I'm allowed beef/chicken broth, sugar free candy/gum and sugar free popsicles. Can you tell me some good brands of these items? Thanks to all who participate in this site and make it such a valuable tool!!!![/quote']My surgeon makes us find this during called Nestle impact in vanilla flavor.
It is said to help the healing process.
As for Popsicles I bought Eddys sugar free. They are really good. Specially the raspberry and mandating flavor.
I get banded on the 29th of October. I'm kinda freaking out.
Good luck to you!!!

Like Dhales why couldn't you finish your sentence? See women need to be more like us guys just say what's in your mindMen can't handle what's on our minds. It's scary in here. And you couldn't keep up...
We just don't want to go all Fifty Shades on any guy that asks. We pick and choose the guy we want to do this with. It's not about society or shame or embarrassment. It's always about choice.

Thank you all. I love coffee. I had it at least 4 times a day. Here in Puerto Rico it's difficult to not drink coffee. You smell it everywhere. So I decided instead of 4 I will have a small one AM so I can open my eyes. Because without it I can't even see. Thank you all!!!!

That's one of the rules that is not universal. Some say that coffee hinders weight loss...others disagree. Is your nutritionist banded? I drank coffee like crazy and lost 127lbs doing so. Some say not to drink coffee because it's a diaretic...so what? If you pee more then drink more! Ironically' date=' I did have to give up coffee because the caffeine was giving me headaches so I now drink Decaf exclusively. Have you talked to your doc about it? I'd go with his advice over the nutrtionist personally.[/quote']My major concern might be if there is any health risk.
But since you are banded and still lost then I guess I shouldn't be so worried.
It has been rough and it's making me crazy.
So thank you. Also I'm getting banded here in Puerto Rico. My surgeon is a pioneer on the surgeries. But she is so unapproachable. I feel like I have to go through so much to ask her a question. It's kind of annoying.
Again. Thank you for your response. I will use my judgement. I guess a little coffee won't be so bad.

I have my surgery tomorrow !!!!!Good luck!!!

Will be banded on October 29th. I'm a bit worried about all my skin being loose.
How long before I can work out?
Are there any exercises I should stay away from?
Also, I have tendonitis which makes running walking very painful.
Any advise I would appreciate.

The wait is KILLER. I only had to wait 2 weeks and I was dying with anticipation. Congrats and good luck!Tell me about it! I get banded on October 29 and I'm so anxious. I've had two surgeries before. But this one will change my life.
I can't wait. Any advice?

Ive heard different things from different people and sites. I had coffee the whole time. The caffeine helped suppress my appetite but I used splenda sugar and fat free milk. I've heard that putting some instant coffee in your Protein shakes is yummie also. But to be safe u should ask your doc or nutritionist. I barely made it thru my 2 week diet. Lol. I cheated a few times :/ but still lost 15 lbs I got banded yesterday and will start my Clear Liquids today. Cant wait to be back on Soups and yogurts. Mmmmmm... anyways. Best of luckHow is life with the band? I'm getting banded October 29th. I'm a bit nervous. Would be lying if I said I wasn't. Do you have any advice?

Well I am at 0.17
They want me at the standard low which is 0.30
I had cancer so my Endo wants me as low as possible.
Besides since I lost 25 pre op I need less dosage.
It's pretty crazy.
