  4. ever since late yesterday afternoon, I have been so nervous about my surgery on the 30th. the hospital called yesterday to confirm my pre op appt tomorrow and I just can't stop thinking about it. we spread out all the papers about post op last night and read through them again.. im not scared of the surgery, just nervous and excited about the procedure, about all the changes, etc.. but hey, if I can make it through three weeks of liquid pre op, I should be able to make it through anything, right?? :-)
  5. no one but my husband knows.. he is very supportive because he has watched me lose and gain back weight over the years. my kids know that I am dieting and that I an going to a Dr, but I haven't told them about the surgery.. its may 30th..

  8. you can do it!! I have to do 3 weeks of the shakes, Clear liquids, SF popsicles and Jello for pre op believe me, I never thought I would be able to do it, but now im almost done with 2 weeks. the first few days are bad.. and when people eat around you is pretty bad. I just have to go in the other room...
  9. oh yeah... and my husband told me that he bragged about my weight loss to one of his friends at lunch today! :-)
  10. I have lost 12 pounds in my 3 month medical monitoring.. and about 15 on my pre-op diet so far. I didn't really feel any different in the way my clothes were fitting..... until today! the bottoms of my jeans are dragging on the ground and my shirt feels really baggy! its amazing how it will sneak up on you :-) surgery is next week... I can't wait...
  11. when is your surgery Stephanie? mine is the 30th.

  17. you are not alone.. I was the same way. wait until they send it in for approval. that week or two will seem like an eternity.. I got approved last week and then started preop diet on Wed. my surgery is on the 30th. now it seems like things are going quickly. not much longer for you now!! if your last appt is June 3 rd.. you could be having surgery in June!
  18. I'm on day 5.. but I'm not going to weigh until I go to the Dr for my preop tests. its difficult but not as bad as I thought.
