  1. I am 10 days post OP. no more nausea. a little on Saturday, but I took one of the nausea pills the dr prescribed. I took them alot the first 3 to 4 days. don't know what I would have done without them...
  2. I was banded may 30.. im back at work today. im feeling pretty good, but the worst part was the clothes this morning. some pants too baggy, some too tight near my incisions.. bra bothering my top incision, itchy belly from the healing... :-) all of it helps me remember how far I have come since the first call to the dr at the end of December. and I am sooo happy!! I have lost 31 pounds so far, 12 on dr supervised monitoring, and the rest between beginning my preop and now! I can't wait to see the changes! my husband says to think back to a month ago when I was waiting on approval from ins.... thinking it would never happen!
  3. we went to a party for my sons football team where everyone was eating pizza.. I helped serve the food, by the time we were done serving the kids no one noticed that I didn't eat any.. thank goodness.. I would say go and have fun and if there's anything you can eat a small bit, go ahead.. if not just socialize and have fun. :-)
  4. I tried with chrome instead of internet explorer, I have it working now..
  5. for some reason I can't even get the sign on screen to come up on either of my laptops.
  6. I cannot update profile on my phone app and last time I logged in with my laptop I could not either. when I first set up my account I could but can't seem to access it now... im not hiding any info about my surgery, just can't update..
  7. I am 8 days post op and suddenly today I feel so much better! I agree with the walking. hang in there, it does get better
  8. let me know if you find a good one that's not whey protein..
  9. that's great! glad to hear you are doing good.
  10. jsws91 replied to stept04's topic in The Gals' Room
one of my friends who had knee replacement surgery had a filter for a few weeks in case of blood clots.
  11. that's what helped me... knowing it was for my liver and the surgery, not for weight loss. I had 3 weeks liquid pre op.. I think it helps when you have to do the liquid phase after too. im one week post op and the liquid is not so bad right now..
  12. let us know what they say.. that's odd
  13. I was looking for a milk free/lactose free Protein for my son who is allergic to milk, but haven't found one. for him it would be just a protein supplements, not for weight loss.
  14. I was pretty bad during week 1 and 2 of my preop liquids then I didn't go at all the third week. then about 3 days post op it started up again. I asked my dr today and he said imodium was fine. its just that its so unexpected when it happens.. :-) guess if I still have it when I go back to work on Monday I will have extra clothes!
  15. I will be one week post OP tomorrow. having lots of diarrhea, loose stools. anyone else have this?
  16. I think women are more mean to other women about things, like weight loss, pregnancy, etc. don't know if its jealousy or what. but I have gotten several rude comments when I lost weight in the past, from my own parents, in-laws, and others.. so that's why I am choosing not to say anything about my surgery right now. maybe later I will feel differently.
  17. I can't find mine.. only 5 days post OP.. but I think its on the left because that side hurts more.. im going to ask tomorrow at my followup.
  18. I have the stretchy Spandex full length thing that can be used as a bra, but right now its way to right on my stomach.. maybe after the dwelling goes down.
  19. yeah.. if it were up to my husband he would say just don't wear one.. lol I was thinking of a sock or washcloth too.. lol.. better ideas on here!
  20. thanks.. I will try the gauze..
  21. I just put on bra for the first time since my surgery on Thursday.. what torture. it sits on one of my incisions.. I have to take my son to a dr appt and my daughter has high school graduation tonight. so I have to wear it.. :-(
  22. maybe just one or two things but that's it!
