I was banded on the 11th also and I'm still swollen and have some pain at the port site.

I've had this problem with all the Protein Shakes I've tried.

Hi Leslie! I was also banded on 1/11 and have finally started to feel hungry today. I'm finding it hard to finish my shakes or drink enough Water, but I'm trying hard. I wish you well in your journey! Keep in touch.

Had my surgery yesterday and I'm still in a lot of pain. They did really well keeping me from getting sick- they had me smelling peppermint oil and put some kind of accupuncture Bracelet on me. It was really different, but it worked. No post-op vomiting at all. Now if I could get rid of the gas pain!

This is my last day of the pre-op diet and it's been hard! The first 2 days were the worst, but it was a constant battle for me. Being hungry all the time really does mess with your mind, but it is do-able. My surgery is in the morning and I'm scared and nervous at the same time.

Pure Protein has really good chocolate shakes and I like the GNC Total Lean Vanilla Bean.

I like GNC Total Lean vanilla Bean. They are ready to drink and they have been giving me a discount when I buy a case or two.

It's hard. Very hard. I'm on Day 7 and the first 3 days were the worst for me. It does get better, but I have been hungry for a week. Imodium has been my friend too.

My surgery is on Jan. 11th and I'm on day 5 of my pre-op diet. I've been losing one pound per day and it feels good! I'm so ready for the 11th. Good luck all.

I thought I would have trouble with this, but luckly I haven't so far. We will be saving money by not eating out as much though. My daughter says she feels bad for eating in front of me, but it really hasn't bothered me yet. I do try to have a shake before I start cooking so I'm not hungry while in the kitchen. My husband has helped with cooking more too.

I can have one small meal per day- 800 calories per day. I tried a different brand of shake and still can't drink more than 2 per day. I should be having 4-5 per day, according to my doctor.

It's my biggest fear!

I'm really having a hard time getting more than 2 shakes down per day. Anyone else?? They taste fine, just I just can't do it. I would rather go hungry.

Day one of the liquid diet and I'm starving, but I can't bring myself to drink another shake today. Hopefully this gets easier.
