Thank you everybody for your support! I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I do about an hour of cardio and 20 mins of machines. The cardio is the most important part of losing the lbs, especially from the mid section! It helps with stress a TON, also!

Friday 8/22 was my official 18 month surgiversary. I still cannot believe it's been that long already! Feels like just yesterday I had the procedure. I was sleeved February 22, 2013. My starting weight was 318 and I was wearing a size 24 and 3X. I can proudly say I now weigh 148 lbs and fit into size 6/8 and am wearing all smalls! What a journey it has been! I have worked extremely hard to come this far and I would do it over and over again. I strongly believe in exercise!! I dedicate myself to the gym at least 3 times a week! My BMI went from 52 to now 23.5. I am now, hopefully, anticipating my abdominoplasty surgery in the next month or 2!

Well, I was sleeved February of 2013 and have lost half of my body weight since! 152 lbs to be exact. Now I'm faced with the loose saggy skin on my stomach! I've worked so hard to lose the weight and now I have this issue. It's not like I haven't been working out because since day 1 I have committed myself to the gym! Guess there's nothing you can do about the skin. I was wondering if anyone (I live in NJ) has gotten skin surgery covered under insurance? I actually have a different insurance company sines the surgery. I have QualCare. If anyone knows anything I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks everyone! Very much appreciated! It slowed down a little but around 8 months but just by switching up your diet and intensifying your workouts at the gym you should still be able to lose 2-3 lbs a week!

I really wanted to do a 1 year update but got really distracted. I am 13 months out of surgery and have lost 150 lbs! Went from a size 24 to a size 10. I feel absolutely amazing and have all this energy. I am truly a new person! If I had to do it all over again I would time and time again! People are amazed that I am the same person. Here are a couple pics!

I am 9.5 months post op and down 113 lbs. I can't complain i guess! I'm just wondering what people are eating this far out of surgery and about how many calories everyone is consuming in their average day?? I still would like to lose another 40 lbs or so. It's getting way harder to lose now! I am committed to the gym and eat pretty healthy. I just have these stalls. Or 1 week I'll go up 1 or 2 lbs out of nowhere. It drives me crazy! Any advice and recommendations are appreciated!!

Today im exactly 8 months out since surgery and feeling great. I have lost 103 lbs and going strong. Even though weight loss has slowed down a bit, im pushing myself harder and harder especially at the gym. ONEderland is just a few pounds away and I cannot wait for it!

Thanks! I know ive come a long way I just get like this now and then. Im a little impatient. I try to set smaller goals for myself instead of big ones that I wont be able to reach, which seems to be working a little better. Its just crazy how 2 weeks can go ny and I wont lose anything and then I will lose 5 lbs the 3rd week. Just so weird to me. I like consistency! Lol

I was shopping in Kohls yesterday and the same thing with me! I got a pair of jeans that I thought would not fit and I actually had to go down a size! Thats the first time in my life I went down and not up! Haha

I found Rockin Refuel Protein Shake. That has 30 grams and tastes better than Premier Protein! Tastes almost like a weak chocolate milk! So good! Made by shamrock farms. Stop and shop or shop rite. Even 7 11 has them

4 years out
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Is anyone on here post op 4 years or more? Just checking to see how everything is and if there has been any weight gain. It gets so much harder the further out you are. I lost 175 lbs but in the past year gained about 15 lbs back from my lowest. It is extremely hard to lose weight now and I feel like I eat like a normal person again. And I feel like I'm hungry all the time. This is making me nervous. I try eating healthy and exercising but doesn't seem to be helping.
