    Binging & Head Hunger

    Thank you for this post as I am the same. I've got some great ideas by reading this thread. I'm going to try saving some calories for a snack. Usually I have a snack between my lunch n dinner so that I'm not hungry or to get extra calories in.but I am going to try to only have my snack when I'm hungry. Thanks again for posting this!

    Zumba!!

    I love my zumba classes and do them about 4 times a week at the YMCA. They also have zumba toning which I do about once a week if I can make it. In the summer time I like to play tennis, volleyball, softball, or going swimming with my kids n ALL of these are great for burning calories n having fun!

    Insanity

    So I do lots of zumba n it's lots of jumping, running in place, dancing n I tried insanity once n was too intense for me. My son and daughter do it all the time n tell me I should also but I don't think I'm fit enough to hang.

    I love hard boiled eggs but now seem to dry so I eat them with a tablespoon of thousand island or in my salad n I do okay that way.

    I never tried herbal life but you definitely need one with lots of protein. I used pure protein chocolate frothy n loved it.

    After 100 pounds, people better have noticed! I think sometimes our weight is a touchy subject and It's hard for people to give us compliments. A great big congratulations to you n we don't brag were just proud of our accomplishments! Keep up the great work!

    Best protien drinks

    I was told to do no to low sugar n carbs n I had to drink 80 to 100 grams of protein a day. I used chocolate frosty pure protein it had 2 grams of sugar n 25 grams of protein n was very tasty. U should start tasting them now to prepare you for surgery so u know which one tastes the best for you.

  15. Well the worst for me was the nausea n not wanting to eat. See if your doc can prescribe you pain n nausea meds before you go home from the hospital.

    Wow that's great n very exiting. My scale hadn't moved in 3 weeks n finally came down when I started tracking n excersizing more. Great job!

  18. So I've been off of work for about a month now n was banded on January 2nd. I'm embarrassed because before I left lots of peeps New about my surgery. My closer friends kept telling to make sure I come see them (I took 6 weeks off) cause they thought I would drop about 1000000 lbs (lots of weight) before I came back. I told them I would come by but I don't want to cause since I left I only dropped 8 lbs. I go back in two weeks n I want to really loose some more before I go back. I have bumped up my work out schedule to twice a day this week n will do the same next week also. I am also planning to eat 1000 calories a day. My daughter did the math n said "if " I do this everyday then I should loose 4 lbs a week. I did two zumba classes yesterday n Two today also. One zumba class burned me (at my weight, height, n intensity, according to YMCA's) 780 calories for 1 hour. I love the Zumba classes but this may b a little too much.... I'll check in everyday n let y'all know how I do. My weigh in day is on Sunday's n I'm at 219 right now.

    embarrassed to go back to work.

    So...ya I guess my plan was way too much for me. I still did a great job n am very proud of what I accomplished. I tracked everything I ate n didn't always stay within my calories. I actually upped them to 1200 because I could not do 1000. I worked out almost every day and originally wanted to do 2 hours a day but actually did anywhere from 1-2 hrs a day. I lost 2 lbs ( one, a week) so hey that's 2 lbs of butter visually. I actually believe I lost inches cause my blouses feel looser. So now my plan for eating and work is to be prepared with breakfast, lunch, n snack. I started to freeze 1cup servings of food to take for my lunch. I work in a grocery store n could literally buy anything which could b good n bad at the same time.

    I go back to work tomorrow, after being off for six weeks. I made a pot of chicken n veggie soup n I'm freezing 1 cup portions to take to work. What a great idea I got from this forum. Thanks for the help!

    I didn't realize but I hadn't had any soup since I started eating regular food again. Since we are not to drink while we eat, are we not to drink the broth from our soups? For example when I'm eating a meatball soup, or a chicken soup?

    Soy, almond or cow's milk?

    I suggest you go with what you need n lucky you can tolerate all of them and like all of them. For me I wasn't getting enough calories n needed less protein. So depending on where I was during the day with my nutrients, is how I used to choose. I think I did 1 soy, 1 ff milk n one store bought which had more protein than the others. But I really like the vanilla soy with my chocolate shake taste yummy. As to weight loss I say as long as you count, it if you track, then whatever you prefer.
