It can be discouraging. Especially only 5 days postoperative and full liquid diet!

Surgery was 3/8. Lost 4 pounds as of yesterday. This morning I was up 1.2 pounds. Don't understand.

I'm 5'8" 230 lbs, 5th day postoperative. I was told 70 grams day protein but at least 40.

Surgery is March 8. Started two week preop diet last Friday...four shakes, one small meal, one fruit, clear liquids and no sugar jello for first week; second week all liquids. Is anyone else having difficult time? I've cheated 2x, just a little and feel so guilty. since Friday only lost .6 pound.
