  3. Hi all, Just wondering which one you take?? We're not tying yet just getting ready. They are usually large and I'm scared to even try. My doc gave me vitalfol-one. It's a blue soft gel and she said its the smallest. I might be able to get it down but I'm afraid to try Thanks

  7. This happened to my husband band in on a Tuesday doc said he was was Very swollen and the band was right and only left 2cc he stayed over night felt fine came home wed was fine Thursday morning non stop vomiting took him to doc they took out the 2cc and have him a shot of steroids to reduce swelling felt a little better then midnight hits throwing up for 6 hours non stop rush him to ER still throwing up no meds were helping until he had a severe pain in his chest and I screwed for the nurse and they have him a different medicine which eased the pain but after the swallow test the doc said the and slipped and it needs to be replaced but we chose to have it removed because of the risks of it slipping again Very scary

  11. Hello All, my surgery date was 1/22 and 28 lbs down so far with no fill needed yet. band seems to be working, but on saturday for lunch i had rottiserie chicken from the supermarket with cucmber/tomato salad. all seemed fine until i ate dry chicken and i threw up. Then for dinner i had pork which i didnt think was dry at all since i was cautious for the afternoon episode and again i threw up. Sunday i was fine and today i had meatball with a salad and stuck throw up. i think the meatball was dry. im not sure how many CC's i have. i have a 10Cc band and doc said he fills it on the day of surgery and some leeks out sop until i get a fill i wont know for sure. ive never had the stuck feeling up until now. any thoughts?
  12. My husband was banded 2/19 and had to get it removed 2/22. His body basically rejected it! He threw up non stop for 16 hours and the band slipped!

    Slipped band!

Hello I was banded Jan 22nd and have no issues an doing great. My husband was banded Tuesday and in Thursday tried to eat for the first time and started vomiting right away and he got the stuck feeling but the pain or the vomiting never went away so we called the doc and we had to go in. They said his stomach was very swollen and was making the band very tight so they took out the Fluid and have him a steroid shot to reduce the swelling and said he should feel better within a day. So we get home he gets down broth for lunch then try's a Protein shake and bam pain so he stops and It goes away. At midnight he throws up again and again along with bad reflux so we call doc and says to come to the hospital. They have him zofran and protonix to help they did nothing he was still vomiting A LOT. He then had a massive pain in his chest and I had to rush and get nurse and they then have him reglan and he finally felt better. It gets the swallow test and a chest X-ray and his band slipped. So they he has to go into surgery and fix it but they also said they wanted to shave part of his stomach to help the band got better when we heard this we said take the band out! We are so incredibly sad that this didn't work for him and he is now petrified if ever doing surgery again. This ever happen to anyone?
