  2. Happy 42nd Birthday Rhonda!

  3. I was banded on Feb. 20, 2007 my first fill isnt until April 9, 2007 and right now I am just trying to be responsible with my eating. I am not really experiencing the full felling I would like to feel or at least hope to feel with some adjustments. I am just trying really hard to lose a few more lbs before my first adjustment but it isnt easy since I am still having to treat this whole thing as a diet right now and not a new health eating style. I sure hope it gets easier as time goes by. How long do I have to wait between fills if the first one isnt quite enough?
  4. Hi Tabithan nice to meet you, my surgery was done at Swedish Medical Center. Drewslou did you lose most of your weight the first few months or has it been a struggle. I feel like I am struggling to lose weight some of it is my own fault I know but it is hard to be good when you are hungy.
  5. pretty close I am in Englewood, You seem to be doing well with the band how long ago were you banded?
  6. Nice to meet you DrewsLou I was just curious if there was anyone else from colorado on here!! What part of colorado?
  7. I had my surgery Feb. 20, 2006 and do not get my first fill until April 9th. I am also hungry and not really losing. Most of my weight loss was due to the extreamly long liquid diet I was on. I was on my liquid diet for 3 weeks prior to surgery due to my surgery getting delayed by one week. I can honestly say that I know I am the reason for my not losing. I can honesly say in the last week I have not been following the rules exactly I have to keep reminding myself that the band in only a tool and if I really want to lose I am really going to have to make a serious effort. I am still couting down days till surgery but I have started a food log I keep in my purse so I can see where I might need to make some changes. Good luck and and dont give up it will all be worth it in the end!!
  8. Anyone else from good ole Colorado?? Not a big deal just curious is all! :biggrin1:
  9. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL ADVICE!!
  10. Thank you for the responses I have been searching the net looking sites that will help me get the most out of my lap band when I stumbled on this site and I was very impressed at how much support there was here and was very excited to join. Thank you again I am waiting for that first fill hopefully that will help the hunger. I wasnt able to talk to doctor into an early fill my fill is scheduled exaclty six weeks from my day of surgery now I am just counting down the days hoping the first fill will help with the hunger. Thank you for the responses!
  11. Hi my name is Rhonda I had my lap band surgery on 2/20/07, I am down about 21 lbs. I am looking for some advice on how to get the most out of my lap band. Currently I haven't noticed a major difference, I am not as hungry as I was before but I still feel I am able to eat more than I am suposed to. I am working very had to stay at the max amount I am suposed to eat but I am hungry again within an hour or so. (I am still trying to figure how much of this hunger is actual hunger and not just mental) How do I get a few more pounds off before my first adjustment on the 9th of April? Looking for any sort of advice to get me a jump start here. Thanks in advance, Rhonda:help:
