  1. My fills would "wear off" I would feel something at first, but that would soon go away as my swelling would go down. As I got closer to the green zone, they would last longer. The last two haven't worn off at all.
  2. Sorry you have to jump through the hoops again, but it is worth it.
  3. One question, are you logging every thing you are eating? Don't bother answering since you are one of my MFP friends and I just looked  In my life not logging something is a form of secret eating, If I don't log it, I didn't really eat it. Could this be a problem for you as well? I know how badly it hurts to be honest with yourself and put down in black and white that you ate something you know you shouldn't have, but that is part of the process of being honest with ourselves about why we are fat. I would challenge you for the rest of the month, write down EVERYTHING and see if that helps.
  4. Rarely more than a couple. Especially now that I am concentrating on building base miles (Endurance) which depends on multiple consecutive days of training to properly stress the muscles, heart and lungs

  6. 2 ounces Jamison's Irish Whiskey, 139 calories. It isn't BBQ, but it helps
  7. It has been a bad day, a really bad day as I deal with a family member that has severe emotional/psychological problems. As I drove away from their home my mind kept ticking through the things that would dull some of the pain I was feeling, and everyone of them revolved around food. Hell, I have a bottle of good Irish Whiskey downstairs in my office, and while I will probably pour myself a stiff drink after the kids are down for the evening, it isn't nearly as attractive in my mind as taking the family out for BBQ and eating until I am so full that it hurts. Is it any wonder diets don't work for us, when food has become a drug that we use to dull the pain that comes with living? Well, the good news is, as my mind ticked through my options I knew that those that dealt with food really weren't an option. After getting stuck last night, I am not willing to piss off Mistress Band two days in a row, and to tell the truth since being banded, I know that using food as a drug will only make me feel worse and I will still have the family matter to deal with with the guilt of having indulged in emotional eating added to it. So, here I sit with my glass of crystal light lemonade, writing a blog entry for those who have helped me on this forum. Thanks for listening.
  8. I can't drink i for more than 12 - 14 hours a day. If you hate the taste of coffee and add stuff like creamer or sugar, be sure to count the calories.
  9. Weekdays Lunchtime or right after dinner. Saturdays 6:30 am Sundays 1:00 pm So the answer really is when there is time. Sometimes life gets in the way and I don't work out at all
  10. Mistress band doesn't have any problems with bloody rare rib eyes, she was complaining because I was eating left overs.
  11. Yea, I had steak sauce, but no dice.
  12. Well, now at least I know what Mistress Band looks like
  13. Put re-heated steak on the list of this that Mistress Band will punish me if I try and eat. Worst stuck episode yet, but it is cleared and instead of steak, I had a protein shake for dinner.
  14. Enjoy it while it lasts, many of us, including myself had greatly diminished appetites after surgery. I started counting calories because of I simply wasn't getting enough, I count calories for an entirely different reason now.
  15. Call your surgeon, there should be an emergency number. He can always call and prep the ER.
  16. Nope, you aren't alone. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get your butt back on the straight and narrow. Either that or get a towel stretcher
  17. Nope, the hair on my back is as thick as ever.
  18. I seem to remember a post about your hubby and a sun dress. Skinny? Maybe not, but you are going to look hot in that sun dress.
  19. Been fat since I was 6, hated every minute of it, but food was the drug that I used to feel better. Who will you be if your are not fat, I don't know and neither do you. BUT, if you do it the right way, you will never believe the person you can become. I have only lost 50% of my EW but already I am accomplishing things that I never could, and it is only going to get better.
  20. I just promised her I would put them back on this evening...
  21. Yea, when I came out and my wife saw me, I almost didn't get to go biking  but, I have my priorities
  22. I hadn't noticed them being slicker, I know they were harder than hell to get on. But I tend to not ride in the rain, so your YMMV. I just hate changing flats.
  23. yea, it felt really good and I still had legs left when I got back. This time I remembered to bring some Gu and a Protein bar so that I didn't bonk.
