  1. Depends on the size of the pill. My daily meds are small enough that they don't cause me trouble, I use a gummie daily Vitamin, and for a couple of other supplements I use a pill crusher. The one thing you don't want is a pill sitting in the stoma while it dissolves causing irritation. My Surgeon was of the opinion that this was a factor in erosion.
  2. Kime, the last thing I want on my wife when she is headed for bed is clothes In the words of the red neck visiting Victoria Secret with his wife, "75.00 for that??? You're just going to end up nekkid anyhow!" Dylan, that is how I like to do it as well. We were at a POW WOW and there was a turquoise dealer and my wife was looking at necklaces, each one she looked at was more expensive than the previous one, and she kept telling the guy how she couldn't afford to spend that much finally he got to the last necklace, gave her a killer deal that was still more than the others and she turned it down. So I stepped over and bought it for her.
  3. Kime, my wife and I are the two hardest people on the planet to buy gifts for, me? Because if I want something, I go out and buy it. Her? She never wants anything.
  4. Steph, I am a geek. I have all the dates, first kiss, proposal, etc. recorded in my calendar.
  5. 15 years ago today, I proposed to my best friend and she said yes. 2 dozen roses just got delivered, now I need to think something really special for next month and the marriage anniversary.
  6. Excellent article and the cheat sheet is very helpful.
  7. Nice little recovery ride to flush the lactic acid
  8. Some times my band is really finicky, and even in the same day Mistress Band will change her mind about what is willing to accept and what must be rejected.
  9. May I politely disagree? food logging and daily weighing are flags for me. If I don't want to do either one, it is usually because I have not bee following the rules. A lot of my fat came from self denial about how much, and what I was eating, your mileage may vary.
  10. After reading posts on this site for 6 months, I have an opinion. Soon we will see people logging on and telling us how much more safe and effective this is than being banded.
  11. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/08/tongue-patch-diet-hard-to-swallow_n_3404989.html?utm_hp_ref=weird-news 2,000 for 30 days, why not save yourself some money, for 1.000 you could simply hire someone to follow you around and punch you in the mouth every time you tried to eat.
  12. It washes the food through the stoma, turning most everything into a slider food
  13. Look on the sidewall, it will give you the proper psi.
  14. Crystal light, Zone protein bars, Gu energy gels and Coffee from India
  15. Spin class, 58 minutes, 500 Calories and I will call it 15 miles
  16. Go back to the basics, since you said you are eating more than a cup, I would guess that you are eating too many calories but you won't know unless you track them. It isn't just the number of calories either, it is the type of food. I try and stay away from simple carbs, because they really stall my loss.
  17. Well, I start my day with a couple of cups of coffee, and a protein smoothie. After that I eat what ever I fixed for the family only less. I tend towards the non-processed complex carbs and protein.
  18. Way to soon to worry about fills, right now worry about healing.
  19. I want to second what CF has said about visiting your local bike shop. If it hadn't been for my local bike shops I wouldn't be biking like I am today. Find one with people who love biking, my local one "Biker's Edge" is filled with people who live, eat and breath biking. They don't care what type of biking, they want you to fall in love with it the same way they do, so they go out of their way to make sure that your experience is fantastic. The one thing that makes or breaks your biking experience, is making sure you have the right size bike and that the bike is adjusted properly to you. So, if you do buy a used bike, take it to your local shop have them tune and adjust it for you. Believe me when you sit in the saddle for a couple of hours straight the slightest misalignment will turn in to major pain.
  20. Didn't get any biking in yesterday, I took my girls to the amusement part and walked for two solid hours. Not biking to work today, there is a cold front moving in and I don't think 25 Mph winds will be pleasant. FRIED OREO???
  21. I mix mine with my morning protein shake.
  22. The band will restrict the opening to your stomach, big pills are no longer an option. If you can't find liquid or chewable, invest in a pill crusher, but make sure you check with your pharmacist as crushing some pill can be dangerous.
  23. OMG, you are trying to use logic and that simply won't do, when you mix logic and facts with FUD, people's heads will explode!
