  1. Also, with the self pay, if there is any complication you will have to cover that, too...
  2. For example Aleve, if you are not allergic..
  3. The same to you, Sunshine!!
  4. Great! I wish you the best!
  5. Is there a way to switch health insurance? Even if it is for one year? With the Obama care coming up you should be able to go out and shop for new health insurance at more affordable cost at the insurance exchanges. I know that this is not an immediate help, but it is doable, I think.
  6. Me, too. I am also scheduled for tomorrow. Congratulations, EJRN. You made it!
  7. I have just receive the call from the hospital. I have to be in at 1.30pm and I am scheduled for 3.30pm. It sounds kind of a late appointment... The good news is, I can drink clear liquids until 7am. I could have just taken 1/2 day off from work...
  8. Hi Beanie80, I am right behind you, going in on 06/27 (tomorrow)! I switched to all liquid today and I am waiting for the call from the hospital... I am afraid that I have probably no idea what did I bring myself into
  9. Do you drink enough water or other drinks?
  10. Congratulations, Joy332! I am happy to hear that you are doing fine. They say that when you start walking it may go away. Have a quick recovery!!
  11. I liked the EAS Advantage - Rich Dark chocolate (carb control) drink (110 Cal 17g protein)- Walmart $4.99/4 drinks. There are other flavors as well, the strawberry was OK, I have not tried the Vanilla yet.
  12. Congratulations! Everything you said are encouraging, Deacon Blues.
  13. I am so sorry! It really annoying. It is so difficult to arrange everything once, how about twice? Let's hope that your professor and your mum's employer will be flexible. I understand your concern, however, it is safer to stay 1 night in the hospital. My surgeon is the opposite of yours. I was approved for outpatient procedure and he wants to keep in the hospital O/N regardless.
  14. Glad to hear that everything went well. Have a quick recovery!!
  15. Good luck!! I hope the best for you. My day will be the 27th.
  16. Good luck! let us know how your are doing afterwards (when you can).
  17. It might be ok, if you burn it off.
  18. Your body may also lack Potassium and Magnesium (or even Calcium). I suggest to take an extra supplement of these.
  19. I am still pre-op but i would suggest you crush all your medication pills and take them as powder. At least this is I was told to do.
  20. Unfortunately, I live in a 3rd floor apartment, and no way that i am going to carry groceries up there after the surgery I have bought already 8 Lbs of protein powders, chocolate, vanilla, banana flavors. Whatever i found on sale Maybe I overdid the preparation, who knows I was thinking about the isopure drink, but I bought a 3lbs unflavored powder instead from GNC. I am planning to add it to gatorade drinks.. We shall see how it will taste...
  21. JOy332, do all the shopping you need for the next 4 weeks, at least. Yesterday, I bought 2 buckets of cat litter, big bag of cat food, 3 24-packs of water, ice and gatorade, 12 cartoons of soups from Trader Joe (I sampled all of them!). Now, I have have random stuff piled up in my house. Almost looks like a store
  22. Hormonal cycle by any chance?? It can cause water retention in the second half of the cycle..
