  1. Let me know how it is - if good I will def get some!!!
  2. I will say stress causes me to sometimes go a few days without eating - I Am not proud but always can tell when my body is fighting me --- I just make sure I get my Vitamins in and exercise and hot liquids help plus it seems as if I can get liquids and foods down better in the late evening when the days events are over. I will say a special prayer for you losing your father - I lost mine 4 years ago and I can't say I know how you feel bc everyone is different but I can empathize with your situation
  3. I am getting there but I feel like this is the uphill climb that I have been dreading!! Any shares on foods, exercises, and general motivation welcomed and appreciated!! I attached a recent cruise photo (I am in pink) my first full length that I was happy with in a while!!!!! You guys are awesome and I am so glad I am in this journey with all of you
  4. On the edamame - SAMs club sells them in one serving steam bags - they are perfect!!
  5. Recently got a fill and now at 5.7 cc of 10 cc band. I can't get solids down but before I start getting the "you are losing weight the wrong way" is it possible that it needs time for swelling to go down.... Or something else that is contributing? It has been 2 weeks and some days are much better than others --- just want hear about experiences and please no judgement as I am just trying to learn what the green zone is.
  6. Awesome job on the great success stories!! I do have some questions - I had my surg on 12/19/12 and was at 264 and as of today at 205 with 5.7ccs in my 10cc band. I have hit a plateau and I want the success you ladies are having!! Any advice? I do work out 2/3 times a week and hover around 1000 calories Any guidance or suggestions would be great!
  7. I would wait for a day or two - as long as you can get liquids down I would hold out on the fill. It got dangerous for me when I couldn't hold Water down.
  8. I finally feel sexy again! I can wear clothes from "normal" shopping places and I am back to wear "cute" shoes. I feel like I can actually go to a gym and work out with everyone and feel "normal" My golf game has improved drastically and overall I am just more active I could go on and on but these are just a few
  9. Premier Protein from SAMs is the best I have had. 30g of Protein 160 calories ad 1g carb - the vanilla and chocolate is great
  10. I had United Health Care and first appt was early November 12' and surg was December 12'
  11. Starting Weight: 264 Current Weight: 214 Height: 5.6 Surgery: 12/19/12 Loving my band!!! I am halfway to my goal as of this month
  12. Hey just wanted to let the ladies know - bras can be altered!!! I went from a 42ddd to a 36g and my tailor was able to get my bras fixed Congrats to you!!!
  13. Y'all I feel so much better today - No longer weak and no vomiting since I had the unfill - thanks so much for all of your support- I appreciate all of you!
  14. Ok so total loss was 9.6 lbs in one week so needless to say I was a bit dehydrated. They took .4ccs out so since my last fill was .5ccs they removed all but .1cc. I am happy to report I can drink Water now - got some Gatorade as well
  15. I am at the doc for an unfill - will keep you all posted. I got scared with not being able to hold down water plus I have lost 6 lbs in one week and not able to hold down food since Tuesday --- got to be healthy first... Although my skirt falling off when I put it on this morning was a great feeling
  16. Congratulations!!!!!!
  17. It took me about 2 weeks after all the paperwork was in. Are you using True Results?
  18. Sounds like we are in the same place - I however notice it is worse on certain days and has a lot to do with my stress level - I def do bit like the vomiting but I also don't want to unfill because other days I am fine. I feel like I am just now in the place where the modified behaviors are a mandate and I got to get the brain in sync with the band. Keep me posted on your situation because any and all advice is helpful
  19. Stay on liquids longer and when you move to softies ensure they have no color - something about food with color upsets the band! I am on my 4th fill and preaching this to myself. Also try to drink something hot in the morn as it helps you for the day
  20. I was a 100lbs overweight and I have lost 50 lbs 6 months out from surg so I guess I beat the statistic My goal is a 27 BMI so I must reach the full 100 gone!! I don't want to be obese anymore!!!!
  21. I think your wls is awesome and so encouraged by your journey. Let me ask you a question - now that you are a year out - how do you do fills? How are your eating habits?
  22. I am now at the 50 lbs down!!!! Got another fill so i am back now - 50 more to go!!!! Keeping the faith
  23. Donated a lot of my clothes to a local church tonight - feeling good but I still clung to some of those pieces that have seen me through thick and thin I am trying to purge the closet by only buying when I give something away but it is so hard!
