  1. Holy smokes, girl! 42 pounds since December is AMAZING!!! Are people commenting??
  2. If you had any kind of preop diet, the weight you lost on that is going to be SUPER easy to regain. You can't go from living on broth to eating mashed potatoes without paying some kind of price. Keep your head up, you can do this!
  3. That's what they're there for!
  4. So far just my loose fitting come home outfit, my prescriptions, and some gas-x. Not sure what else I need!
  5. Woo hoo! That's awesome! I'd like to lose another 4 pounds before my surgery (9 days) just so I can be in 60s for pounds to go!
  6. I gotta say, today is day 5 and I feel GREAT! Lots of energy, not hungry, no headaches. Whew, glad I survived that! LOL The next 8 days should be no problem!
  7. Where in the Midwest are you? I'm getting mine done in Cincinnati and it's $12500. Cheaper than Mexico if you add in all the airfare and such!
  8. Good for you! That's awesome!!!
  9. You haven't had a fill yet, right? Without a fill, once you've healed, the band isn't really "doing" anything in most cases. Once you get that first fill, you'll have some restriction.

I hate the commercials IN the show. Chew this gum, eat this oatmeal, omg brita, etc. Totally annoying. I also hate when they recap after each commercial. FFS I just saw this 2 minutes ago, I haven't forgotten. Would make me happy if they'd make the show 1 hour and cut out all that stupid crap!
  11. I think I'd want to hold out for 95kg - seems kinda risky jumping out of an airplane at the high end of what they consider safe.
  12. I think this might be a fun and informational exercise. Let's see how many calories/fat is in your typical PRE-band meal. I bet you'll be shocked, and then I bet you'll say "no wonder I was fat!". lol My weakness was McDonald's fries, so I always made sure I got the super size meal. My only saving grace was that I'm not a soda drinker, so I got unsweetened tea. But, here's mine: Big Mac: 560 cal/30 g fat/3 g fiber/47 g carbs SS Fries: 610 cal/29 g fat/7 g fiber/77 g carbs Total: 1170 cal / 59 g fat / 10 g Fiber / 124 g carbs I got the info at Dotti's Weight Loss Zone
  13. Woo hoo! I'm so excited for you! Check in as soon as you feel up to it!

How funny, I love the orange team!! The ones I don't like are the yellow, that guy is really starting to creep me out how strong he's coming onto her and then to say he has a girlfriend at home... ewwwww. 3 hours a day isn't as bad, I was sure it was about 9!!!
  15. Glad to hear you're doing well!
  16. Yummy! I should make a big pot and freeze small bowls of it.
  17. I agree you should start seeing a doctor about it now. The better documented you have it, the easier it will be to get insurance to cover the PS later!
  18. Oh my gosh I thought I was DYING the first 3 days. Major carb withdrawal, I suspect. lol
  19. Our firewall was down this morning and what's a girl to do without internet? Why, make blinkies of course! Here are a few general ones, I'll make more in the 100-200 range and 200+ next time I'm bored. (wow this thread is obnxoxious!)
  20. I'm still super nervous about it. Plus I have phoneaphobia, so now we're just combining two fears in one here! LOL I'm just so exhausted. Maybe I should do some treadmill stuff at home to get in somewhat better shape before I have them crackin the whip on me.
  21. Mine has always said 205. It expires this year in September. Hopefully I can change it to the real number by then.
  22. I'm on Medifast since Wednesday (I think we have the same surgery date?). Sorry about the terrible blood draw, that happened to me getting an IV once when I was in labor. Needless to say I was not amused with my bruised and football sized hands while in labor! Ugh! You're right, it will be worth it!
  23. Between the Medifast and the diuretic they put me on for my blood pressure, I've lost 5.8 pounds in the last 3 days. Wish I could keep THAT rate up. LOL
