I was banded on 12/14 and I feel my band is tight early in the morning right when I wake up! Is that normal or is it gas and swelling?

I was banded last Friday and used the same clothing I wore to the hospital! The only pain I've had is gas pain, but I walked day and night in the hospital, took 2 gas x twice a day, and peppermint tea which really helped. At home, a heating pad works to relive gas! Don't worry, you'll be fine! God bless and good luck! -
You are only 20, of course your skin will bounce back! It does take targeted exercises, and patience. It takes 12-16 months for the skin to conform. That is an issue I battle with, but I'm 55.

Gas has been the only problem for me. I am on liquids also and feel that every time I drink, I'm filling up with air again! It's so painful!

So happy for you ladyLeigh! I was banded Friday and the gas is the only thing bothering me. Careful, I have always known that hot or cold gives more gas! Dr said room temp! Ask about that all Dr's are different! Happy for you!!! -

Sodium = high BP and water gain!!! Low sodium is the best! I mix the Knorr tomato with Knorr chicken or meat! You won't miss the sodium! -

It's all gas! I'm 4 days post and can't even walk straight yet! It's all gas, bloating and swelling. Incisions don't hurt at all! -

I too was banded this week. I had no complications and I am feeling some discomfort but It is all worth it! I weighed in at the hospital and had lost 15 lbs. on the preop liquid diet. Now, day 3 post-op, I have lost three more! Don't be afraid! The best is yet to come! -

I have not had my surgery yet until tomorrow! But I have had abdominal and laparoscopic procedures done with local anesthesia and never again!!!!!!! The pressure you feel is so scary! Never more!
