I know I would feel a lot better if I didnt have my legs feeling so weak today. I dont like feeling like this.

I had surgery this past thursday. How long before you get some energy back? I feel pretty weak today. Pain has not been an issue. I dont like the lifeless feel.

Had surgery this past thursday. I really didnt think it would set me back like it did. Feeling really weak today, but I know it will get better. Pain has never been an issue. I havent taken pain meds. I will just be glad when I start feeling some kind of normalcy. How long before you got back in the groove?

Ok, Thanks Megs. I will call and make sure they have him down for the same time. 4-5 hours is ridiculous. Did you end up with one or two night in the hospital?

I hope you are one the lucky ones that don't have a preop diet, BuffaloCarol. I am doing alot better. I think when I got my insurance approval it really changed something in my mind. In the back of my mind, I really thought that I would not be approved. I am on the straight and narrow now. Surgery is scheduled for this Thursday. No second thoughts here......Congratulations and good luck on your upcoming surgery. Keep us posted!

CarrieP, that is exactly why you should call. You found out what needs to be done. I do not like to leave my destiny in the hands of others. Keep calling and stay on top of it. I called every morning and afternoon. I found out when I called that I was approved. If I had waited for a call from my surgeons office, It probably would have been 24 hours later. I don't think my nerves would have handled it. Good luck.....

Yes Megs, I go in the day before for the egd. What is that like? How long were you drowsy afterwards. I have an appointment later that day with Dr Lewis for the last time.

Well thank you very much! I will be sure to post how it all went. It just kind of seems unreal right now. I had planned to go to Mexico if my insurance didn't approve it. I really feel a sense of relief knowing I get to stay here close to home. Where are you located krissj?

I know the excitement that you are feeling. I called my insurance yesterday evening and was told that I was approved. But, this morning, I had to call back and just make sure. Lol.....I started my preop diet before I was approved because my surgeon had an earlier opening. My surgery will be this next Thursday, the 21st. I am really anxious. It's not fun at all. I am on day 7 of mine. You just literally have to bite the bullet. I have had some major stomach growling events. After about the 3rd day things will get better. Just try to hang in there. Good luck!!

Found out yesterday evening that I was approved by my insurance. I am so excited. So, my surgery date is next Thursday, the 21st.

Mine with Uhc took 4 days. It was submitted monday and I heard this evening that I was approved. My surgery is next Thursday, the 21st. Such a relief to be approved.
