  1. AMEN. Well spoken & straight to the point.
  2. I was Banded 12/22/10 & being re-banded on 2/11/14. I have lost a total of 107 lbs & very happy with my choice to have the band. Last summer I had a stomach virus & the vomiting caused band to slip. All fluid was removed & band went back into place on its own. Nevertheless for the past few months I'm hungry & can eat more (this is with my band filled to the maximum). My Surgeon said for some/most people after a slip the Band never really goes back to the original state that it was (my sweet spot/green zone). He gave me the option of the sleeve or another band.... Well I chose the Band because I'm happy with it, I know how it works with my body & I saw no need to cut out a portion of my stomach. I'm not saying NEVER to the sleeve, but right now NO.

  7. Good Luck to you. I was banded 12/22/10. 104lbs less. U can do it.
  8. Three years for me on Dec 22nd. I hit the gym 3 times per week & have a good grip on portion control. I don't count calories, but indeed I do watch my carbs. I love me & feeling very blessed. 103lbs down. Holla!!!
  9. Congrats & best of luck to you. I'm a December Banster. Almost 3yrs 12/22/10. This was the best day of my life as of today 107 lbs gone/lost. Yay Me!!! Congrats to you again.
  10. Best answer to this is to call your Doctor or Bariatric Nurse. That's the best suggestion that I have. Always remember a phone call to your surgeons office is never a stupid call/ question. That's what they're there for.
  11. Glad ur ok, but never drink when stuck or while eating (with the Band) you will find yourself in trouble & uncomfortable) You are right, learning from mistakes is the key & you will learn as time goes on about what work & what doesn't. Keep up the good hard work. Many challenges ahead for all of us "Banders" but nothing we can't conquer. #Banded 12/22/10 100lbs lost
  12. Correction. Started at 262 lbs
  13. Does your doctors do surgeries in Wednesday's?? If so take off Wed Thurs Fri (you'll have Sat & Sun) Mon is Memorial Day & do 1/2 a day that Tues. On that Tues you will have to see the Doctor anyways so go in in the afternoon. That's how I did mine (but before Xmas). Just said me & the Hubby had plans. It's really nobody's business what you do with your time off & by law you do not have to disclose that info either. People, especially WOMEN are very nosey. I'm 2yrs out & they still don't know. Good luck & much success. #banded12/22/10 lost 100lbs
  14. Like I mentioned in my other post, Plication does not help with weight loss or is in any way Magic. The same thing applies with ALL/ANY WLS it's the PATIENT & what work you put in to lose the weight & keep it off. When a Woman becomes pregnant the fluid is taken out anyways so she can eat to supply nutrients for her unborn child. By all means (not putting you down) just putting the facts out there for all to see so our Newbies who are undecided about getting WLS don't get the one sided stories or the full picture of what could be a promising decision for them. I congratulate you for taking such a big step in changing your life. Keep up the good work & much success with your continuation of being the healthier new you. #Banded12/22/10 lost 100lbs
  15. You can do it. Just focus & do what the Doctors tell you. Eat the small amounts of food & healthy foods. You can do it. Keep the Faith.
  16. Have a blessed & safe New Year.. Drop me a few lines every now & then & great success to you on your journey.
  17. Congrats to you. & I agree I don't regret my decision either. #Banded12/22/10. Lost 100lbs. 13lbs from my goal weight.
