GET UP!!!, We all know that psycologically, the lap band is not a cure all. You need to contact your local support group. Attend another seminar if you have to. Find a therapist. You have to deal with emotions and internal issues in order to break the addiction. I pray you get the strength to throw away everything in your home that is a hinderance to you. It's not over for you, You can make it !!!

  3. Thanks Mayasgram, my bmi is 50 and I'm hoping he will recommend the lap band over the other procedures. I have been practicing chewing my food slower and not eating seconds. I am a snacker so I was careful not to buy junk food. I will start back on my body by vi shakes tomorrow. I want to lose at few pounds before I go to Dr. Sharma's office on Friday.
  4. Thank You, I'm glad for this site. I have been reading other posts and realize there is a lot to learn. I Can't wait to post after my doctor's appt.
  5. I am hoping my surgeon will recommend the lap band. My first visit is November 16,2012. Tuesday, November 6 was one of the happiest days of my life. I found out that my insurance will pay 100% of surgery. Within one hour of finding out I called the Dr's office to find out the next seminar. I was starting within an hour. I dropped everything I was doing to make it there. By Thursday I received a call from their office stating that I was approved but had to go through a 3month period where I need to try to lose some weight with by other methods. Can anyone shed any light on this if you have gone through this process.
