  1. Wanted to ask does anyone feel the pain is the worst in the morning? I'm only 11 data out but I feel the most pain the AM and then it tames by late afternoon

Yes, I have. I think it has to do with positioning during sleep. I'm 19 days out and still can't sleep through the night. I have not been able to comfortably sleep on my side. Which sucks for a side sleeper. It does get better day by day.

  2. It has been 6 days since surgery. The pain is slowly but surely going away. My biggest issue is drinking and Protein. I do not like the taste of any of the protein I bought lol. The nectar is really good but it leaves this horrible after taste in my mouth' date=' ugh! Still sleeping in recliner, but I plan on moving to my bed this week. Gas is not as bad, just annoying if anything. Had an emotional breakdown today, all I wanted was a slice of pizza and I couldn't have it. It was hard but my family was great and they ate away from me and made sure the kitchen was clear of pizza when they finished. I am going to seek out other protein supplements gotta find something that works. Oh and I am down 16 lbs since surgery date :)[/quote']

I recommend chicken flavored Unjury. It is very good for a warm cup of of broth. It definitely provides a break from all of the sweet Protein Shakes.< /p>

  3. I have my post op follow up with the surgeon tomorrow. I had initially taken 3 weeks off of work. However, I hope he will approve one more otherwise I am only off one more week. Reason being I can not get any decent amount of sleep. I am a side sleeper and do to discomfort and pain, I can not sleep well. Since surgery I noticed that I get pain in my hips and thighs while lying on my back in bed. This was not an issue before surgery. I can sleep 2 hours at a time tops. Also I have had a horrible sore throat since surgery and it hurts so much to swallow and still need some assistance to shower. I can't wait to get back to normal.

  4. So today was the first day to start back on my regular pills. So I crushed them and mixed with applesauce as instructed and it was terrible. I only was able to take half of the amount bc it was so bad and it felt like I was gonna vomit it all up again. I even wen as far as putting my hair up in a pony tail quickly. Lol. Any suggestions on crushing ur pills an taking them with something different that will mask ye flavor of the crushed. pudding maybe? I'm on full liquid diet for 2 weeks.

Have you tried to just cut them in half and swallow them with Water? I thought I would have to crush some of mine but have been able to take them as usual without crushing them just have you cut them. I too am still on full liquids but the pills dissolve so quickly once they go down. So they shouldn't harm you.

  5. just a shout out to godinez831' date=' JenP, madorann, how did your operations go! Always good to hear from Surgery buddies.[/quote']

Hello, doing as well as can be expected. I too have not felt hunger but I still try my best to keep up with my meals and liquids. I still have quite a bit of pain on my left side and have to get around with a cane. However, it is slowly improving each day. I haven't ventured out of my apartment since my two night stay at the hospital. So I just walk Laos around the apartment to get moving. I have also had a horrible sore throat. Hurts to swallow but I am doing salt Water gargle. I hope it goes away soon the only real relief from it is sf Popsicles. Hope you are doing well Montage.
