  1. Called the doc ad he said I'm allergic to the Percocet. Told me to take some Benadryl to alleviate the rash. Hopefully this is a distant memory by tomorrow
  2. I am 2 days post op and am experiencing some dry flushing. No sweats and no fever. I started as soon as I got home (took liquid percocet twice yesterday for pain and think it may be the culprit or maybe the anesthesia) the heat from my body actually makes me feel like I'm freezing!!! Is this normal?
  3. What size are they? Would love to look at them to see if I would be interested in purchasing a few as I just started my journey... And you get money for new ones in a smaller size
  4. I had my surgery yesterday 11/13. I am home today and had a painful bout of muscle spasms in my right side. Last about 10 minutes but was pretty painful. Any suggestions on keeping this from happening again?! Is this normal?
  5. My goal is to go as long as I can without a fill. As long as I'm losing weight at a steady pace, there is no need for a fill in my band. Everybody is different, so go with what your doc says but be your own advocate for sure!
  6. I would be interested in your size 16-18 clothes as my surgery was yesterday. I am willing to compensate at reasonable prices and maybe the money can be used to hit up a few places for the sizes you need. Where are you located? I could pay shipping if needed.
  7. My husband had his surgery Oct 4th and I had mine Nov 13th. We are in need of men's 46 ad 44 pants and men's 3xl shirts along with Women's 18 pants and women's 1x shirts. Willing to compensate at reasonable prices and pay shipping if needed. Please let me know. Thank you!!!
  8. I was banded yesterday on the 13th. From what I gather, some pain from the band is normal. You're still swollen from the operation. Take small sips and take it easy for the first 4-5 days. My surgeon doesn't fill the band during surgery so I am entitle to add oatmeal and cream of wheat as soon as I want, however, I'm just not comfortable enough for solids yet. I am sticking with my proton shakes, Water and broths for now
  9. I am relatively new to this site. I was banded on 11-13. It's been relatively easy (much easier than I had anticipated!) some slight pain in my left shoulder and left side, but that's the extent of it for me. Anyone else have an easy post op?
  10. My doc said to call any time day or night, not when it's convenient... He always returns ourcalls within minutes, weekends and holidays included!! Amazing doc!!! There are 24 hour pharmacys for a reason, call and ask for a script to be sent in for you. It should t be an issue.
  11. That would be loaded mashed potatoes
  12. I have my surgery tomorrow! My last meal was 10 days ago and I chose Cajun Chicken Pasta, loadedashwd potatoes and a king size Caramello candy bar! Lol
  13. Get rid of the scale! Take it out of the house lol hard to do I know! My husband was bandw Oct 4th (my ban is scheduled Nov 13th) he gets discouraged by the scale and causes himself undo stress. He also takes it hard if he doesn't lose what he thinks he should... Heal first, then when you get a fill you may see more lbs melt off
  14. My husband was banded October 4th and is currently in a 46. What all do you have? Would be happy to compensate you for the items
  15. My husband was banded October 4th and the pain in the chest and shoulders if from the air used during surgery. It's gas... Walk some as it seemed to help him, by day 4 he was pretty much over the chest and shoulder pain. I am scheduled for banding Nov 13th and kind of know to be expecting that part of recovery. Hope this helps put your mind at ease some, it's normal
  16. I have an iPhone and updated from my phone. Click on the "more" icon then on the next screen click "profile" and you can upload one from your phone Hope this helps!
  17. I am on my 10 day liquid pre-op diet and am using Adkins premade shakes. I add 1/2 a cup of 2% milk to mine so I can get the milk I am required in my diet plus it helps it not be so think. The premade shakes I have found are not grainy.
  18. Most people who aren't successful or have problems don't follow the rules of the Band. It's a tool, not a cure all. I have done my research and am completely ready for my surgery Nov. 13th. I have told people but I have thick skin and am comfortable with my decision. To hell with the nay Sayers... Time to do something for myself and take my life back! Good luck!
  19. I am getting my Band on November 13th. Not nervous about the changes but nervous about the surgery itself. Any tips?
