Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
- Blood Work
Yeah, 13 viles! They had to stick me multiple times and the last time they finally got a dot of blood and that was it.- Blood Work
I just went for my blood work (13 viles) and they could only get 1!! Now what?! This is terrible. Any suggestions on helping blood flow? I drank so much water yesterday and it still didn't help.- Met Goal today
Wow!! What an amazing accomplishment! And 103 pounds in 1 year and 20 days is remarkable!! You're an inspiration- One year today
Happy Anniversary!! And congrats in the success!- Hairloss Question
- Psych Evaluation
Hahaha nooooooo!!!- Psych Evaluation
- Banded august still no weight loss
Did you ever get checked for a leak? Or possibly the band slipped? I'm not banded yet, but everyone's right.. something isn't matching up. Definitely eat more though because having just one meal a day isn't healthy and does not give you enough nutrients for your body to properly function or the keep your metabolism going either whether you have the LapBand or not. Go to your doctor and be adamant about finding out exactly what is going on and why it is not working for you.- Boots and calves
OMG! That is one of my LapBand bucket lists items! I can't wait until I'm skinny enough to wear knee high boots.. even UGG boots over my jeans or leggings! I'm right there with you girl!- Hairloss Question
Oh wow! I never heard that before. Like others have mentioned on here, I heard it was from the lack of Protein. Very interesting! I will definintely talk to my doctor about that! Thank You! I agree with the theories. I've heard many, especially the one about the lack of protein being the main contributer to hairloss. I did not, however, know about breakouts. I'm going to read some reviews on Biotin.. thanks for the heads up!- Psych Evaluation
hahahaha omg I can't wait until that question comes up! I'm gonna SO throw that in his face!! lol just like a little 4 year old.. "nanny nanny poo poo!"- Hairloss Question
So I've read a lot of posts about people losing their hair or having it thin out after being banded. Would you recommend starting Biotin before the surgery maybe to help prevent a lot of hair loss? I'm going to talk to my doctor about it, but I'm curious to know what you all think. Thank you- Psych Evaluation
Hahaha my boyfriend wonders the same thing! When I saw him after my appointment I was like, " surprise!!!! I'm sane!!" Lol- Psych Evaluation
So my appointment is complete! It was a few quick question since I did not have any other health related conditions. He asked me about my family history, how the surgery was done, how much weight I want to lose, and what I expect get in return from getting the lap band. He pretty much just wanted to make sure I was sane enough to. Sign consent forms, and keep up with my part of the LapBand after surgery. The result was that I was sane enough for the surgery! Yayyy!!!- Psych Evaluation
- tomorrow is my day!
Lots of luck!!! Keep us posted! You'll do great!- Psych Evaluation
Thank you for our help! In definitely going to be honest I'm just scared my psychologist will say I'm not a good candidate. I get nervous during interviews. Lol. Ahhh ok, 515 tonight is my appointment! Eek!- Psych Evaluation
Hello Everyone! Tomorrow I'm going for my psych evaluation and I'm nervous because I have no idea what to expect. What were some questions you were asked? Thank you!- New Years Eve Surgery!!!
Congratulations! That's a pretty exciting way to bring in the new year! Good luck!- Surgery yesterday and doing good!
Congratulations on the success this far! Every day that you do well is always a success! I'm not banded yet, but I want to thank you for sharing your feelings so early on.. it is very encouraging for me!- Keeping it a secret
I agree with the above post. I haven't been banded yet and I'm still chosing who I'm opening up to about this. Obviously, I'm excited for this life changing journey to start and I want to scream it to the world, but at the same time, this is also a very personal matter. I know that judgments will still come and I don't think everyone needs to know that I've decided to do this.- Gastric Sleever
Thank you to everyone for responding! Jean- I am so sorry to hear about your experiences with the band and the sleeve. I hope others are right when they say it is too soon to tell. I've heard of many success stories so I hope yours turns into an even better one. You helped me realize that there are pros and cons to both and successes and failures as well, and that no matter what we choose we need to take everything into co side ration before hand. Thank you very much. Best wishes to you!!- Gastric Sleever
