    Hi. I'm Amy & I'm in the Katy area. I haven't been banded yet, but I'm hoping to have my surgery before the end of 2012. I am seeing Dr. Hollis with True Results and have been to 1 support group meeting there. Hopefully we can get some people in the Katy area to meet out here occasionally!
    I have successfully lost weight in the past, but it has always come back with a vengeance as soon as I stopped watching everything I ate. The numbers on the scale would go up a little bit, I'd get discouraged & just give up completely. Then every bit of weight I'd lost would come flooding back, along with even more pounds. I enjoy working out and have a membership at the Y and 24 Hr Fitness. I'd be happy to have workout buddies too. Working out has never been an issue for me. I'm hoping the band will be the final tool I need to stop this vicious cycle & I can move forward with a healthy & active lifestyle.

    I can honestly say, I think this is the best thread I've read on here! So many inspirational stories, fantastic questions, and complete transparency. A HUGE thank you to the OP. You asked the "we all wanna know" questions, lol! I'm hoping to be banded before the end of the year and this thread was filled with nothing but encouragement.

    My doctor made some great suggestions at my last appointment. She said for holidays or parties, walk through the buffet and rate each dish from 1-10 (1 being something you don't care for, 10 being favorite food, gotta have it). Only eat the 9's and 10's. The other stuff just isn't worth your valuable tummy space. Always make sure to get a workout in beforehand.
    Yesterday is in the past. Let it go, and start fresh tomorrow!
