Introduction

Hi. I'm Amy & I'm in the Katy area. I haven't been banded yet, but I'm hoping to have my surgery before the end of 2012. I am seeing Dr. Hollis with True Results and have been to 1 support group meeting there. Hopefully we can get some people in the Katy area to meet out here occasionally!

I have successfully lost weight in the past, but it has always come back with a vengeance as soon as I stopped watching everything I ate. The numbers on the scale would go up a little bit, I'd get discouraged & just give up completely. Then every bit of weight I'd lost would come flooding back, along with even more pounds. I enjoy working out and have a membership at the Y and 24 Hr Fitness. I'd be happy to have workout buddies too. :) Working out has never been an issue for me. I'm hoping the band will be the final tool I need to stop this vicious cycle & I can move forward with a healthy & active lifestyle.

Thanks to Tammy for starting this Katy group!

Hi, I also live in Katy. Just starting the process. Hope to have the last test (endoscopy) next week, then paperwork may be submitted to insurance. Hoping to have surgery in early August.

Now that you've had the band for a few months, how have you been doing? Are you happy with the results?
