  1. Congratulations on a couple of things. First the amazing weight loss! 180lbs is an amazing accomplishment. Second, congrats on recognizing that you are addicted to sugar and flour. This are big accomplishments.

Welcome to the lapband talk site. Everyone is very helpful. You will be given lots and lots of information and a lot of opinions.

  2. You guys will both be in good hands. This is a new exciting part of your lives. I am a little over a month out and it is the best decision I have ever made. Just remember to breathe and be honest with the pain. Let the nurses know if you are having any nausea or severe pain. Stay on top of the pain and don't let it get out of control. I know you will do great. Please come back and share your journey with us. Blessings ~

  3. First, I want to congratulate you on make the decision of a lifetime to become a "bandster". Second, I can totally relate to your nervousness. I have had many surgeries and I still was nervous. It is the fear of the unknown but you will be in excellent hands. Just think, you are making a very exciting change in your life so you are probably nervous about that as well. We are all here for you and hope to hear about your journey to come. Feel free to write me anytime. xoxoxo ~ Blessings ~

  4. I had the "ants in the pants" terribly. Plus, I was extremely moody. I think with you being used to getting up and going, this is definitely a big change for you. I would try and take some time to enjoy the resting period. I know it is hard but you need time to heal. I don't know if this helps but I wish you the best and congrats on becoming a "bandster". Blessings ~

  5. Today is a very hungry day for me....Perhaps watching football with the hubby is subconsciously affecting me. Normally, I'd be munching on pizza, ribs, or carne asada nachos right about now. Instead, I'm drinking Water, halfway watching the game, and focusing on the big picture (what I need to do every minute of every day to reach my goal). I'm sure the hunger is mostly head hunger, but that doesn't make it any easier. Being connected to others who understand DOES help. :-)

I totally feel you Desert! I am watching the football game and wondering where my beer and chips are. But, we can do this. I am glad we hooked up on here and I am here for you if you need anything. Keep up the good work.
